Isnt Zaire likely to still land at Texas? Hadn't heard anything on him lately

I doubt it. Transfers aren't usually keen on fighting a guy that started all season last year. I would love him just for the depth, but I think it is an up hill climb

Tech is in bad shape......so is WVU. They both lost a lot of production, but I don't know about Kansas being better......that's still a big step for that team to make.

We DO have a lot of starters to replace but imo we are not in bad shape. QB for instance should be an upgrade, RB is in GREAT shape (now watch the injuries stack up in spring practice after me saying that :L) with 3 experienced guys coming back. Lose a NFL center but return 4 other OLinemen WR has some new faces but they should be fine, plenty of talent there and the QB should be more accurate and make them better.

Defense replaces a bunch up front but the system (or gimmick if you will) has been in place for a few years now and the guys should know pretty much what they need to do so.. I think barring a rash of injuries we are a 7-9 win team with a shot to be really good with some breaks.

WVU,KState, and TCU could all be about the same imo, could finish anywhere from 3-5. Texas is interesting to me, dunno if I'm ready to say top 3 finish just yet but VERY interested in seeing what they look like out of the gate.

TEXAS was a **** hair away from being good last year

Charlie Strong was a helluva recruiter but dude was cursed to lose every coin flip game
The Horns were in every game....until CS got canned, then they mailed it in at the end.

Tom Herman is getting a stacked roster.
Strong left him a ton of talent. We just dont know if that talent will ever be coachable to its potential.

Is Charlie Strong a bad luck loser or the talented Roster a bad luck loser?

Strong isn't shitty coach......he made poor choices in hiring his staff. The Texas job overwhelmed him. His lifelong results as a coach more than override his poor showing at Texas.

Some of you guys need to learn some perspective. He'll do well at USF, like he did at Louisville.

Best April Fools Joke I've seen today. Nicely done!

That is generally the difference between good and bad teams. Good teams finds ways to win. Bad teams find ways to lose. Strong had a quite a few close games and he lost most of them.

There is a big difference in a stacked team. Orlando and Aranda run very similar systems. Orlando has been said to be a young Aranda. I was talking about this with a Texas fan. He said Texas should see the same results. I said there is a big difference. Aranda inherited a talented defense with proven production. Orlando is inheriting a talented roster that has only shown inconsistent production. Texas might win a combine, but that isn't the same as winning the conference

Me thinks Kansas will be better than both Texas Tech and Iowa State.

Tech is going to be in the cellar. They were a bad team with a special qb last year. Both Kansas and ISU have decent coaches now. Coach bro sucks

If memory serves me correctly, Kansas State is bringing back a large a decent amount of talent. When KSU is old and you get one week to prepare for them, they are really tough. Favs: OU and OSU

Darkhorses: KSU/Texas

I would usually agree.
However, with Snyder's throat cancer, I can see that hurting this year's team.
As much as people want to believe that players and coaches will "do it for coach", I just think that it will just be too much for them to overcome.

Hope I'm wrong and hope he beats it.
But I have real doubts.

Has Herman changed the offense at all for Buechele (spelling?)

Kid looked pretty good for a young QB imo but I don't know how well he would fit in what Herman usually runs on offense.

Great stat, I bet Bama has a lot more SEC championships than those schools also. Pretty disingenuous to just use Big Titles when many of those weren't involved in those prior conferences

I just post the facts.

Just saying it's weak posting 75 years of data, when WV and TCU have about 5 years of eligibility.
