And look at what it all does to other kids as well. I'm not talking about just being selfish for the control they use over the teams.

Sarell waited until then to announce he's going to Stanford. UW had thought they had a good chance at him and had a scholarship waiting. Foster goes to the nerds so UW has to go back to their list and offer the next kid down who happens to have been committed to UCLA. His dad went to UW and he had been kind of bummed UW didn't offer him. That late offer caused him to decommit and Oregon jumped in on it and made him a late offer as well. So now 3 teams are waiting to see what he does and 2 of them will end up going after some other late replacement as well.

There are always late commits, but the ones that know where they are going and simply draw it out annoy me. They add a LOT to the problem. Once you make a decisions just announce it and let everyone deal with the consequences. You are always free to change your mind later up to LOI day anyway.

Hmmm. Have you heard your coaches thoughts on that?

Yes I have and you clearly haven't. Show us anywhere where any UW coach in the history of the team has said a player isn't free to change their minds before LOI day.

Back to trolling again when you are the one that asked to have a real discussion on this.

Wiz your points are well taken, however, the nerds often do not know if they got in until late in the process (not true in Sarrell's case, but he did only have a few weeks he knew before the announcement).

I get our late admissions makes things a bit of a problem for a few recruits that other schools are looking at, but do not blame us nerds for all of that. :suds:

Wasn't blaming any team at all. Just saying I hate when the kids know where they are going to go and wait until LOI day to announce it and mess with so many other kids/teams in the process. I was only using Foster as an example because it's recent and we know who they went to replace his spot with and it's impacting UCLA now. So in a round about way you won twice by getting the top kid in the country AND UCLA lost their pick for O line. Given that Jaxson Kirkland's dad was a UW they are at least a favorite at this point, but nothing shocks me with these kids anymore.

lol. Dude I'm trying to be civil here. Where in the world do you get the idea that I implied that he said they aren't free to change their mind. I just meant he really doesn't like them to waver once they commit. That's pretty much common knowledge.Wow man, relax.
Look at it this way. If they wait till LOI day they can't flip. lol

So 3 of you are going on and on and on for page after page but it's me that's keeping it going? That makes as much sense as anything else you all are pissing on about.

And no, your characterization is still quite off because you have to have it so to meet your preconceived narrative. Coaches are free to approach his kids. That's a fact. Show us something where he asks for or says anything in the media about other coaches talking to his kids. You won't and can't. So there is nothing at all wrong with him also talking to their kids, since that's what they ALL do anyway. I mean this is all rather simple stuff here.

Once again, you're full of shit. No one said it was just you, I said "You're doing your fair share of dragging it out for page after page...as usual." It's more predictable than potato salad in a poll on tHoop. You'll go page after page arguing with other posters and then, about 3 or so pages in, start bitching about how they're dragging out for page after page.

I continue to find it hilarious that you like to question the ability of others to read and comprehend when you struggle so badly with it yourself. You keep getting pounded on because you keep fucking responding and trying to deflect and make excuses for Petersen and his loophole he created for himself (hence you doing your fair share).

Also, my characterization isn't off in the least. He has an a deal is a deal rule in which he has created a loophole for himself because he will still try and flip kids if that school doesn't have his same rule.

You trying to pretend otherwise, but it won't change that fact. You still won't grasp it though because of your aforementioned struggles with reading and comprehension.

Its a huge choice for these kids.If they want to take their time I don't see the issue. If they want press for their school good for the school. Its a big moment in their lives and their classmates let them enjoy it. Just don't disagree or its trolling :L

And you STILL aren't going to let it go I see TF12. Used to think you were better than this. Oh well.

I mean I expect blatant stupidity from those other two, this is a bit out of character.

Seriously, there isn't anything more that can be said about it, but none of you will let it go.

It's not being civil if you are actually trying to converse and keep bringing up troll bait.

No coach wants their kids to flip, and it's ludicrous to have to even say that. But Petersen's 'OKG' stuff is about wanting kids that are total and complete football junkies that are fully dedicated to his team. It's the centerpiece of his thing. I've never defended that, and I'm not now. All I did was correct dumb shit said. That's it.

The conversation was about late announcements. I'm not in favor of them. They muck up the whole thing for a lot of other kids and create unnecessary chaos around the recruiting process. If a kid really is struggling to decide then by all means take that time right up until you figure it out. But when you know what you want, make it easier on other kids trying to get in too and just go public.

He is correct I don't see why you're so mad. Now I'm going to watch the USC/Washington game again.Thats trolling.Just so you have a comparison. When posters are actually carrying on a legitimate debate. Petersen's policy is very sketchy

So you are full on back to the same trolling as yesterday now, not even pretending to try and talk anymore. At least it's out in the open.

Never have I said anything other than what was stated. You all just keep trying to distort shit to prove something that isn't provable. Not once have I said kids aren't free to change their minds. It's obvious. They can do what they want even after signing, but face sitting out a year. It's their lives. And no one has ever suggested otherwise. More straw man bullshit to stir up drama. That's really all you guys have these days.

Seriously ? You're mad, because you think I said that you said ,that kids aren't free to change their minds? Do you know how crazy that is when I highlighted where you wrote "They are free to change their minds"! lol. Do you not get how crazy that is? I highlighted it. lol. So the last couple of posts you are arguing things that didn't happen.

Dude you are talking loco. Even being civil with you is impossible. You have serious paranoia.

The one you don't want to discuss but continue to deflect on. How it is considered a virtue. That Petersen does not allow commits to explore other options. Yet has no problem pursuing commits from other universities. The facts have been laid out repeatedly by several posters. But you obviously prefer making excuses rather than debate the topic. You just did it again  trolling blah blah blah. You even tried to flip the perspective.Claiming coaches can talk to kids. When it is the kids who are not allowed to talk to coached under the policy :LTruth I cant blame you. The policy has been proven to be a loophole. And you have no legitimate answers to counter the facts.TLF and Jim can explain it to you further. Its all common sense really :L

Yes, they are free to change their minds. I guess I have to say it 1000000000 more times before it registers. The coaches know that, we all know that, everyone on planet earth knows it.

I haven't ONCE ducked any question. Not once have I 'deflected'. that's what you clowns have done now for 2 solid days.

So now it's something about 'virtue' that is your latest spin is it?

You say Petersen does not allow kids to explore other options. That's a lie. It's fabricated to make a point that isn't valid. Point blank. He encourages the kids to seek out other schools, talk to other coaches, and get advice from as many different sources as they can. He doesn't want kids to commit to UW unless they are flat out sure it's what they want. Many coaches pressure kids, lie to them, do anything they can to get kids to say yes. That's not this guys game. So stop trying to create more stupid bullshit lies to make a point that can't be made.

I've said more than once I don't defend his 'OKG' stuff and haven't ever. ALL I said is it's not hypocrisy if you take the time to understand what he really does say and really does do, not what assumptions some of you make and creating things they actually don't believe/do.

I have been critical of his approach and skeptical it can translate to high 4 and 5 star kids. So claiming I'm deflecting on his mantra is laughable because I haven't done any such thing.

This is a waste of time anyway since all 3 of you only want to stir up bullshit and find new ways of changing things around so you can pat each other on the back more. That's not a conversation.
