Not likely. Canelo couldn't really hurt the smaller Cotto, not sure how he hurts the bigger Chavez. And Chavez has one fucking great chin, too.

Canelo wins but probably by UD, which I could easily see being anywhere between razor thin and fairly comfortably.

Chavez likes to fight inside though (despite his superior reach over most fighters in the division). I'm not sure if he'll get knocked out but Canelo will win big on the scorecards, and he will be rocking Chavez all night. At least that's my opinion on it.

If Chavez were to use his reach to his advantage he could be a great fighter. He seems too hellbent on emulating his father,

Chavez is gonna get destroyed. His corner will stop the fight in the mid to late rounds. (probably 7th to 9th rds)
He has no skills to avoid getting hit by Canelo.

I agree. The only reason Cotto didn't get rocked harder than he did was because he was unwilling to fight toe-to-toe with Canelo. Chavez normally has a size advantage, won't be the case with Canelo normally coming in around 160 on fight night. I think it'll be a knockout or a UD if he doesn't do something different against Canelo.

Duckanelo.

Just more proof how bad the Ginger is ducking GGG. Won't fight GGG at even 160, but going up to 165 to fight JCC? I mean it's hard to blame him, GGG will beat him, and everyone can see it. While junior is free money. He still sells tickets just based on his name, but if his name was Juan Carlos or something he never would have amounted to anything more than a journeyman.

More people that keep paying Chickenelo to fight anybody but GGG, the less likely that fight becomes.

This has some potential to being an upset but I think Canelo wins by UD. He is still a bitch for ducking GGG.

Mayweather proved that ducking in boxing can be lucrative as well as better for the long term health of a boxer. Everyone else is following suit.

And then makes his mark by fighting boxers that are already over the hill, like Rocky Marciano did before him.

Chavez Jr is the biggest fraud in the history of boxing.
He has worked 10 times harder ensuring he fights only bums his entire career that he has in a gym or ring.

He is so bad that he has tarnished his own's father great legacy just for being related to him.
It was this bum who quit on his stool just 2 years ago and somehow he gets a shot at Canelo?

I order only 3-4 PPV's a year (boxing and MMA combined) and ordered this one. It should be a really good fight, maybe the fight of the year even. I have Alvarez winning by TKO in the 10th round.

This. I think this has the chance to be a fight of the year candidate.

A bigger Chavez?

Who looks like they had to completely go overboard to make this weight and who looks like they are right at home?

Look at Chavez ..that is exactly what I would look like after a 3 day coke binge.

With all due respect, everything points to it being the joke of the year.

Canelo ends this by the 4th round.

It better not. I paid $69.99 for this....I remember when HBO first came out and me and my dad used to get a Hagler fight a few times a year for the bargain price of $19.99.

Chavez has a pretty good chin....that's why I think it will go 9 or 10 rounds.
