I was curious since we are about half way through the season to see where teams were ranked from an analytical standpoint. For this exercise I used BPI, Massey, KenPom and Sagarin.

I took the top 30 only because that's all the BPI has released at this point. I then averaged the 4 rankings into one. Here's the top 30:

1. Villanova
2. WVU
3. Kentucky
4. Kansas
5. Virginia
6. Duke
7. Baylor
8. Louisville
9. UNC
10. UCLA
11. Gonzaga
12. Florida
13. Wisconsin
14. Arizona
15. Purdue
16. Florida State
17. Cincinnati
18. Oregon
19. Creighton
20. Xavier
21. Butler
22. Clemson
23. Notre Dame
24. St. Mary's
25. Indiana
26. Iowa State
27. Wichita State
28. Virginia Tech
29. Miami
30. Michigan

Other receiving votes(In Order) SMU, Minnesota, Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Kansas State, USC.

I think getting points for beating up on way inferior teams is a bit overrated. In any case, conference play will correct that.

Other than that, the list looks pretty good. The 1-25 RPI will keep rotating so your teams record against 1-25 will be volatile.

I used to do this a few years ago on here. I think it's cool because it gives you a combined look at how all the metrics judge teams as opposed to just human rankings where 75% of the people haven't watched more than a handful of teams Hames
