Guys with 1st round talent that got in trouble years before coming into the league are going to get an opportunity. And frankly anyone that thinks they shouldn't is just not being fair. Guys have played in the league that have gotten 2nd and 3rd chances for stuff like this. It's ridiculous to think he won't get a chance, anything else would be restraint of trade. It is why you have seen statements released from the university apologizing, Stoops admitting he should have done more and Mixon finally taking responsibility for it all. Why? Because the video was made public and ONLY NOW are they taking responsibility and trying to save face.

If MIxon had an ounce of remorse or regret -- he could have said exactly that after it happened or last year when he talked with the national media. He is sorry now because he wants to play in the NFL, period.

If you are a proven talent in the NFL already like Greg Hardy, who doesn't show any remorse. Yes. You will get a 2nd chance. Especially if you play a premiere position (like DE, QB, CB)

If you are a college player who for 2+ years showed no remorse or regret and even said as much in your CFP interview. He will have a ton of teams who won't even put him on their draft board. Why? These teams are investing millions of dollars not a free education. These teams also have to answer to advertisers who don't want their brand associated with that type of person. The NFL is a multi billion dollar business and as many have said -- playing in the NFL is a privilege, not a right. It only takes one team to give him a shot, but unless he puts up ungodly numbers at the combine, he will be lucky to be a mid-round pick (3,4,5)

The only people who truly think Mixon is remorseful now is OU fans, because they want to believe it. If the video was never released -- you wouldn't have heard a peep from anyone involved with the incident. The only thing they are all sorry for is the video being made public.

What is astonishing is how clueless so many OU fans are?! You think it was a coincidence Stoops held a press conference after the video was released and now he would react differently? Another coincidence that Mixon did too and now he takes full responsibility?
