discredit?

hey- if you think 3-1-1 on 12 minutes a night makes you a rotation player that is definitely up to you- i think thats crazy...if my opinion gets you so hot and bothered then that says a little bit more about you then me.

Is he not in the rotation nightly? What is so difficult to comprehend?

i dont consider 12 minutes a night a rotation player...i consider that victory cigar status...go back and look through the box scores- you can see the games where he gets his most minutes- usually against bullshit teams where their is an insurmountable lead.

my definition of a rotation player is a LOT more than playing the majority of your minutes in blow games and averaging 3-1-1 on 12 minutes

honestly i still cant rationally believe people are making the actual argument that someone with avergaining 3-1-1 on 12 minutes a night is a rotation player. I just think that is beyond stupid. Its why i had the initial post about it

you think anyone was actually getting on here volunteering that 3-1-1 on 12 minutes a night is a rotation playeR? of course not- they would have to be insane---- but since I said it- the clowns come out of the woodwork trying to defend a position that they would otherwise never take.

Rotation player is simply one who is apart of the nighly rotation. Bringing up his stats is irrelevant. It has nothing to do with him being in the rotation

What does his statistics have to do with anything? Its irrelevant. So basically what you're saying is there is not a single rotation player on the warriors team on their bench because they don't play their bench extended minutes like other teams

my definition of a rotation player is a guy who gets consistent minutes in games who's outcomes are not already decided and meaningfully contributes in those minutes.

If I see Patrick McCaw playing 15 minutes a night on Christmas day against the Cavs and contributing when the game is still in doubt- I will be the FIRST person to change my stance.

When i see him put up 15 minutes and 2 points in a laugher against the Knicks whne they didnt even play Melo or Rose and the Warriors were winning by 26 going into the 4th- -- that is NOT being a rotation player- thats human victory cigar status.

thats playing your scrub to save your ACTUAL rotation players.

@Heatles84

just a quick question for you to illustrate what i am saying:

who is the more credible source?

1. A person who has a 9-5 job who plops down on their couch to watch basketball- for- lets say- A LOT- lets say 20-25 hours a week....over 3 hours a day- which isnt even very realistic if you have a life or a career..

or

2. A reporter who travels with the team, who goes to every game, who shows up to every media avaliability, who hears the heated arguments on the bench/court since they are sitting courtside- who has a line to the GM, the coach,-- who regularly interviews the players--- who is able to bounce ideas off other former coaches/players/front office personnell. Who has written about the league for years upon years upon years. A person who probably dedicates

you can MORE THAN happily think that #1 is the better source of information. Me? HA

How does either have more basketball knowledge more than the other? I'd rather take the opinion of actual credible analysts that have years around the game like Jalen Rose, Chauncey Billups, Tim Legler (my favorite), Doug Collins, etc.. Your goto move is to cite Windhorst who got caught sleeping live TV.

Patrick McCaw would know, since he is a rookie–a second-round draft choice, no less–who has found himself in Steve Kerr’s second-team rotation very early in McCaw’s NBA career.

Once again what does his points have to do with anything? A human victory cigar only enters when in the 4th when the game is decided. McCaw checked in early in the 2nd against the Knicks. Your point is irrelevant. Are you telling me the result was decided with 9:30 to go in the 2nd with the Warriors up 6 when McCaw was placed in the game?

Wiggy is so obviously wrong, and so obviously never going to admit it. Why don't the rest of you just let him be wrong knowing you are right?

I don't discredit anyone whom I have a differing opinion with. That's you.

I haven't had @trojanfan12 basically put me in my place multiple times because I fail to grasp simple concepts that the majority of the posters on this board are trying to beat into my brain because it's simple logic.

And off the bolded, I'm not the one that cried to @Mecca because people on the board were picking on me and calling me bad names. Hope I didn't hurt your wittle feelings, Sparky.

Is "because he's a condescending unt-cay" an acceptable answer?

David West plays less.

Isn't he a rotation player?

Beasley, Speights, Al Jefferson, Cauley Stein all 15 minutes or less per game, all rotation players...imo

Is it his lack of production you are scoffing at?

They really just need him to defend.

Still, head coach Steve Kerr has no qualms playing McCaw during pivotal stretches
. McCaw was on the court for the final 7:35 of a close game Nov. 16 at Toronto.

Warriors’ Patrick McCaw looking like draft-night steal

Overshadowed during Thompson's 60-point, 11-dribble performance Monday night during which he touched the ball for all of 90 seconds in a rout of Indiana was McCaw's nine points on three 3-pointers and five assists in 15-plus minutes.
