This morning on Mike and Mike, Tony Dungy referred to Jabril Peppers as "that versatile kid outta Michigan." Didn't remember his name. I'm hoping that @MAIZEandBLUE09 was listening because I bet he'd have a hernia if he heard that.

Harbaugh is only in his second year at Michigan. It took Urban Meyer 4 years to win the B1G, and he has only won it one year out of five although he did collect an NC along the way. Michigan is way ahead of where most pundits and Michigan alums projected the Wolverines would be with Harbaugh as HC. And, Harbaugh won't be satisfied until the Wolverines win it all. It's worth noting that fans of other teams would like to see him go to the NFL--his team is a force to be reckoned with, and they can see the train coming. The "game" has just begun.

It's time to move on from the Harbaugh experiment in Ann Arbor. He did his best, but was unable to give us the B1G or National Championship we expected from him. He isn't leaving the cupboard bare, so Michigan should be alright over the next few seasons with a good replacement.
This is a joke, right? Michigan has won 20 games in 2 years. How can his time at Michigan be described as anything but successful?

After losing as much talent as UofM is expected to NFL?

Given how much tOSU lost last year, and what UofM had, this was a big opportunity for Michigan. They blew it, by the way.

I know that THIS ^^^^^ is what you desperately want to think. But, despite blowing this year's "big opportunity," Michigan will be better next year. It will be "year one" with "talent" Harbaugh has recruited himself. Harbaugh doesn't like losing, especially the way Michigan lost to Iowa and Ohio State. He's also a quick study. Don't look for the team to make the same mistakes next year--Harbaugh will doubledown on efforts--he's too competitive not to.

Why would that bother me? Half the time I have to google player names because I can't remember them. I'm terrible with names.

And then this just happened:

Really dumb rumors started by people who are stupid. It's the same people who did the whole, "Harbaugh to Oakland" crap from a few years ago. I'm honestly 0% worried. Harbaugh isn't leaving for the NFL, hell he's being paid $1,000,000 more by Michigan right now than the highest paid NFL coach. His dad lives in the area now, and his kids are attending the school he lived on as a kid. He has pretty much full control over the program and university with very little oversight and he's treated like a king in A2. Harbaugh is staying put for a while.

What will happen is every single year there will be more rumors about some NFL team going after harbaugh. I have no doubt that NFL teams will be calling his agent, but that's where it will end. It's like Izzo at MSU for the past 15 years. Every year there's some new story about him going to the NBA.

This year was awesome, and gut wrenching, at the same time for this very reason. This was the year and for it to end the way it did....just...damn. Literally a few inches separated us from a spot in the playoffs and of course it went OSU's way -- because that's been the last 15 years.

Honestly, I don't think we'll be as good next year. Even if Peppers sticks around. I think we'll be good, but I expect a drop-off, especially on defense. And our schedule next year is packed full of the B10's best teams plus we start off with Florida.

On the other hand, we aren't where we were 3 years ago. Michigan will be a 10-ish win team as long as Harbaugh is there and every year we have a shot at being a playoff team. Plus, next year we get MSU and OSU at home...so maybe there's a shot at getting those few inches thrown our way.

Hey, did you know that in order to have a winning record against tOSU, Harbaugh is going to have to stay with Michigan for at least 25% more years than he's stayed with any other coaching gig AND win out?

Stepping stone for what? His .690 winning percentage, and NFC Championship in 4 seasons of NFL coaching wasn't a good enough resume?

I love Michigan, but I can't imagine it helped him that much. He could have had any open NFL job he has wanted since SF released him. I can't imagine there isn't 20 NFL teams (outside of SF) that wouldn't fire their coach and sign him to a HUGE contract if he wanted to sign with them.

Are you trolling? He coached Michigan for 2 years. You wanted a National Championship within 2 years?

And 20 NFL teams? :bullshit:

THAT'S ^^^^^ just mathematics and speculation. I'm not worried.

I think OSU will be even better next year. Fortunately for Michigan that game will be at the end so Michigan will have improved from what they will be early in the season, but that's still a tough ask for Michigan to get that game. Also, the game @ PSU won't be easy either. I think they only lose like 2/3 starters. And playing @ Wisconsin will be no easy task either. Really difficult schedule for Michigan next year. I would think something like 9-3 would be viewed as a positive season.

Michigan plays @PSU and @Wisconsin, so those are going to be tough. Honestly, the seasons will be disappointing until we can beat OSU.

That doesn't appear to be next year. And the 2018 game will be back in Columbus. Best bet may be 2019, but that will be accompanied by what looks like to be the #1 recruiting class this season, so all those guys will be juniors and/or RS sophomores by then.

You never know. OSU was young but Michigan has recruited well and a lot of those guys were worked in this year and played. While I expect a drop-off, I don't expect it to be such that Michigan isn't competing for a national title. I just don't expect to have one of the top 5 defenses in the country. Michigan should still be good enough to beat OSU. The only position I'm concerned about replacing is LB, and I had those same concerns going into this year.

OSU's recruiting classes are good, in fact great, but Michigan's are nipping at their heels.

Right, obviously anything could happen, but Michigan loses so much, expecting to beat an OSU team that returns a shit load of starters is a tough ask. Does Michigan really lose 19 starters? Return Bredeson, Cole and Speight on offense and lose everybody on defense(assuming Peppers is gone)?

Zero juniors or seniors on MI recruited by Harbaugh. tOSU was 6 point favs at home. You really thought MI would win?
