2. Clemson vs 3. Washington

That being said, I would feel far less comfortable had the committee moved OSU down to 3 or 4. Hard to imagine a situation where they would be moved out now absent an absolute white-washing of Wisconsin by PSU.

I was thinking about this exactly. But, I was also thinking it would also make the committee have to deal with a difficult situation if Okie Lite just slaughtered Oklahoma ala tOSU over WIsky in 2014.

The committee wants TOSU in thats why they put them at 2. If they had doubts they easliy could have put them at 3-4 where it's easy to come up with a reason for a small jump by another team (they won the conference). But by putting them at 2 its gonna be hard to bump them totally out.

They bumped TCU from 3 to 6 two years ago so it is definitely possible and not unprecedented.

Nice try, but the ohio state fucknuts are already in. You can't leave a P5 team with 1 loss out over a team with two ... it doesn't make sense. If Clemson win, they're in. If Clemson loses, now you have a debate. I say Michigan get's in as the #3 for the rematch. That would be a great ratings event, and personally I can't live with the sour taste of ohio state winning against Michigan. I want revenge!!!

Why should meeeechegan get in? They lost to Iowa, they lost to their main rival & finished 3rd in their own division. The only way the wolvereeeenies belong in the Playoff is if Jimmy Jam buys tickets for the team.
