It would be interesting to see if they could hire Lane Kiffin. He currently has a lot of upside, I wonder if he would be willing to coach at a G5 level.

I'm wondering if Les Miles are Oregon have any thoughts.

SEC boards are claiming Kiffin is being pushed out and will be leaving Alabama on Sunday.

They claim he's going to LSU to be their OC.

No clue if there is a shred of truth to the rumors.

It's been proven that Kiffin's not head coach material, everywhere he went. He's more suitable being an offensive coordinator and he's great at his job. If I were the Houston AD, I would have to pass on Kiffin and hire either Briles or Miles, base on their resume.

They got his replacement all groomed and ready?

That's the rumor.

Supposedly, he was the reason for the half time adjustments in the Iron Bowl and Saban made Kiffin call the plays that were called in the 2nd half.

Again, I have no clue if these rumors have any truth, but they are coming from people who have had inside information about Alabama in the past - which is the only reason I'm even entertaining them.

Oh, wow. I was mostly joking. I guess I wouldn't be surprised if sark goes on to be a successful offensive coordinator though.

What upside does Lane Kiffin have? He had one decent season at SC and failed at every HC job he had. He cheated while at SC vs Oregon with the deflating ball gig and he showed himself to be an all around pos.

Agree. If Kiffieboy couldn't get it done in Tennessee and USC, what makes anyone think he can get it done at a a Houston...or one similar?

He had Tennessee playing better and the fans were really happy with him.

Until of course he left in the middle of the night taking as much as he could with him. That's when he fucked them real hard and that's why they hate him.

I have to admit that Kiffin gave Bama hell in 2009 when he coached Tennessee. He actually did a terrific job against us, and would have beaten Bama if it weren't for Terrence Cody's two blocked field goals. That was low to stab the football program in the back when he left for USC the following year.

I know I don't like Kiffin because I think he's a jerk, but my assessment of his corchin' skillz is like others have said: he's a fantastic OC, just not HC material.

Dude has scorched the earth in more than one place. Buyer beware.
