No, it's not. Fans rushed onto the field in a celebratory manor after beating an unranked NC State team. There are 11 undefeated teams...and they don't occupy rankings 1-11. By your logic, they should. There's a reason 7-0 Western Michigan isn't ranked above 6-0 Ohio State. And it's the same reason 7-0 Clemson dropped below Michigan this week.

Again, its a chance for the fans and players to meet one another, and kids to meet and throw the football with players they look up to. Everyone has their own traditions. Some teams do things to build comraderie with their fans. Some fans like to paint and repaint a rock every single week. I think our tradition is a wonderful thing for kids, and I think painting a boulder constantly is a sign of stupidity, but to each his/her own.

And I don't care what Michigan's ranking is. A) because Clemson would beat them easily, B) because Michigan will get whipped by Ohio State in a few weeks, which will make it what, 15 of the last 17? Is that right?

Michigan's defense keeps us in any game against any team in the country.

I fully understand it, I think it's sad. You rushed the field after beating NC State.

I'm not crying about it, I'm laughing at you and your fans.
Why are you so concerned about how another teams fans celebrates a victory? Not every fanbase is as mellow as michigans.

I'll be honest, I was questioning Dabo's decision not to use his final timeout and force NC State to run another play before they kicked the fg. He saved it to ice the kicker and it worked. Guess that's why I sit on the couch/recliner on Saturday.

As far as the "almost loss", doesn't matter what the rankings do at this point, as long as Clemson wins they are in. Even if they require a missed field goal to win ever game from here on out.

This.

Win out and their in. Doesn't matter how ugly each win is. There isn't going to be 4 other undefeated conference champions.

Michigan's defense keeps us in any game against any team in the country.

The only competent offense Michigan has faced put up 28 on them and if not for the starting QB going down, would have been more. They've also played on game away from home, against Rutgers. Helps when you have thousands of screaming fans keeping the offense Fromm communicating. Maybe Michigan's defense ends up being pretty good, but let's not claim they are world stoppers yet

I think it's safe to say that no offense is going to blow them out of the water.

:noidea: And I say that's not accurate yet. Last year, Michigan's D was so lockdown as they were shutting out opponents until they played the only two top 50 offenses they faced all year. Both scored 40+. Still in wait and see mode

Not quite accurate given it took Indiana 2 OT's to score as much as they did and Michigan was without some key lineman when we faced OSU last year. No excuse to give up as much as we did, but our defense is also statistically better this year than last. I'd be shocked if a team scored more than 40 on us this year.

And BTW, Michigan has faced a top 25 offense in Colorado.

If you have seen this defense and still need to "wait and see" to see if it's legit, then you aren't very bright.

Clemson couldn't even beat N.C. State or Troy easily AT HOME but would "easily" beat Michigan? Tell me that you're just trying to troll a troll (we've all been there) and that you don't really think Clemson would "easily" beat Michigan.
