I think it's quite clear your opinion isn't objective. The OP raises a very good point. When I look at SOS I look at the big picture. And schedule an FCS team with the intent on gaining an extra bye week late in the season. In truth decreases a teams SOS based on the body of work. In the end there are really two answers to rectify this loop hole. All the P5 conferences operate under the same scheduling standards. Or they should expand the playoffs. Level out the playing field. I just can't buy into the practice or its ramifications on the rankings and college football playoffs

A loop hole to what rule? The "We did this stupid thing, so please join us so we don't look like a bunch of dumbasses for doing it" rule?

But they play 9 conference games, so apparently that means they have one of the best schedules.
Maybe the last half. The first half doesn't warrant their current ranking for damn sure. They are idiot schedulers all the way around. THat or they pissed off the conference headquarters...or both.

Vanderbilt agrees w/ this message.

Vandy would skullfuck Ohio St and I think pretty much everyone knows it.

Ohio State scheduled Oklahoma OOC home and home no neutral site. They also played their easy games early. The Buckeyes also manage to play a 9 game conference schedule. And finish with rivals MSU and Michigan back to back. It's not like they scheduled Chattanooga before Michigan

Alabama schedule USC to s....oh I see why you don't want to talk about that.

Where was that game played again? Two words: neutral site.

Never said I didn't want to talk about that. USC may be a mess but they have never sceduled an FCS team for an extra bye week before a rival. Then again they have also never scheduled an FCS team. Your avoidance of my questions has already proven my point. As I stated the only way to correct this loop hole. Would be for the P5 conferences to get on the same page. Or to expand the playoffs. I see no legitimate answer as to why a team should utilize an FCS team as an extra bye week during the most vital portion of the season. Nor why playing an extra conference game and competing at a higher competition level is not better for the game

Cool, so that Ohio St victory over Alabama a few years ago was shit.

I feel better already!

Wondering if you did it for the other conferences for comparison's sake?
Not the point. All P5 conferences fit this paradigm. AGs team is in the.PAC, so I used it as a means to demonstrate that dozens of G5 teams are really no worse than, say, Oregon State.

What difference does playing ten P5 teams a year make if most of those P5s are Kansas, Kentucky, Rutgers, Syracuse, and Oregon State?

Yeah the 1st ever Playoff never happened. That's why you insist that the Sugar Bowl W by Ohio State doesn't mean anything. Stop being a biased homer. I can't believe you're pretending the Playoffs are same thing as a neutral site regular season game.
