Good lord it must suck to be an OU fan right now
Bucks 40
Sooners 24

Mayfield is great against teams he can run around like a chicken with his head cut off. OSU can and will collapse the pocket with athletes on the back end to boot, and thus Baker Baker Turnover Maker comes about.

Curtis Samuel introduces himself to 'Merica, and JT Barrett is calm cool and collected.
 very impressive

Methinks @sooner78wakeboard forgot about his avy bet

Here I am......wtf. Still just in morning, not that we lost. But how it happened. WTF....speechless, taken so much out of me. Always a strong defender and backing of the Sooner squad but this year. I am washing my hands of it. Now I can go into a game not expecting anything. Not expecting to win or lose. More interested in eating a delicious chili dog rather than the outcome of the game.

Now as we head back into the crap of a Big 12 conference, who knows Stoops may win it. But does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? As you can tell I am still bitter.

Went to the game, dealing with freakin' construction that Norman just loves, a two hour game delay that wasn't nessary, only to watch my team get manhandled and make continuous mistakes....and the injuries. Damn the injuries. Truth was, on that first drive when OU marches down the field and is just driving tOSU, then an OU player gets injured lays on the field and the Sooners loose any kind of momentum. tOSU shakes the cobwebs and takes over.

OU moved the ball pretty well through most of the game. It was clear that the early tOSU strategy was to stuff the inside runs and play safe in the passing game and make OU march down the field. Mayfield was able to pick them apart with short and intermediate routes early on. BUT, once Ohio State got up 14-0, they dialed up the pressure and Mayfield tried to do too much...and succeeded in just creating a snowball effect. Even without the mistakes, Ohio State probably wins that one. They don't lose many games where they can run the ball for ~300 yards. Sooners need to shore up their defense in a bad way.

If OU is going to get back to elite status, they need to up their recruiting game, especially on defense. Mixon is an absolute stud and they have some good talent in their receiving core, but no one on defense stood out to me at all.

Given how weak the B12 seems to be, I still think OU should be the favorite to win the conference and get a nice bowl bid. There's still plenty to play for and a conference title is a pretty good season, regardless.

Good luck to you boys the rest of the way.

Here is some interesting information that will make Sooners fans gag when they are comparing our program to Ohio State:

By Rivals’ recruiting rankings, the Buckeyes have signed a total of 81 four- or five-star players since 2012. OU has signed 52. By that standard alone, there is a hell of a talent gap between the two programs.

But this will make you sick: Houston has signed a total of four four- or five-star players since 2012. And Cougar High kicked the living shit out of us.

OK, back to Ohio State: The Buckeyes’ secondary includes one returning starter from last year. OU’s includes three. Which team looked better prepared Saturday night? Which one seemed more physically equipped?
The Buckeyes’ offensive line includes two returning starters. OU’s includes three. Which one looked better prepared and more equipped?

OU's problem is coaching, people.
