This thread is weirder than a paraplegic SCUBA diver.

True Story: I was in the Bahamas many years ago on Paradise Island at the swimming pool watching people take SCUBA lessons. A HUGE black guy was working with a quadriplegic in the water and when they finished I asked him what was going on. Turns out he had played at Ohio State, was in the Bahamas for a few months enjoying life making some money giving SCUBA lessons for walking around money and he was actually going to take the guy out on a dive that morning. I had to see that so I went too. When they were in the water the Ohio State fella would wrap his giant arm around the guy and gently paddle around no deeper than about 10 to 15 feet. He suddenly lost his grip and the quadriplegic guy started rolling ass over teakettle like a cork and bubbles were going everywhere. I thought he was drowning. The Ohio State fella kicked a couple of times, caught up to him, managed to get him upright and that was when I saw the guy's face. I never saw such happiness in my whole life. I'll never forget that smile.

Sure, many will pretend they've never had lots of favorites. Fact is, the vast majority here are millennials with no knowledge or appreciation of history, thus their opinions are irrelevant.

But if you're a huge football fan, true historian, and grew up during the Golden Age of the NFL and CFB, you go through periods of time where you get attached to certain teams and programs for various reasons.

Arizona had that sick Desert Swarm defense in the early 90's and I remember they made this really cool Sports Illustrated cover for the CFB preview when they were preseason #1. I forget the opponent, but in one game they didn't allow their opponent to cross the 50 yd line even once.. it was nuts.
