i haven't met anybody who thought it was good, and it's under 70% on RT, which counts a 2 out of 4 as a "favorable" review.

I think Hollywood pretty quickly recognized her as a male fantasy and instead of making her a deep character, they point out the limits to the fantasy pretty quickly as she ends up an AI or an assassin or an AI assassin.

I think she is like the female Brad Pitt. There is some range there but nobody gets past the looks so its kinda moot. The most 'different' thing I've seen her in was Hail, Caesar and it was only like 5 minutes of the movie.

Thats part of it. Wasting source material, acting talent, not really ever justifying its need to exist as a movie, not even trying to even be remotely plausible. Just a bunch of set pieces and apocalypse pron but without all of the things that make the apocalypse compelling.

Its the zombie movie equivalent of The Whole Ten Yards or Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.

I don't think James Franco is a bad actor, he just met Seth Rogan.

He met Rogen when he was like 20 lol.

But Franco is bad at all. He just does 1 billion different things and doesn't care to just focus on big roles and ends up doing shitty movies for his weird passion projects.
