Overrated Actors/Actresses

Jim Carrey absolutely sucks the shit out of a goozle fart. He is unfunny and uninteresting.

John Wayne was a terrible actor who made a lot of good movies.
Clint Eastwood kind of sucked too.
Harrison Ford was a plank of wood in most any other role besides Indy or Han.

Kristin Stewart is pretty awful.

I have to disagree with some of the lists because the topic is "overrated", not "worst".

For example Keanu Reeves, Kristen Stewart, etc. etc. cannot be considered overrated actors/actresses because no on has ever said that they were any good to begin with. Everyone has always known that they were/are horrible.

I will go with Tom Cruise, because he is fucking horrible in the fact that he plays the same smarmy idiot in every movie. The fact that he as been nominated for 3 Oscars is pathetic.
He has acted really good in ONE role (Born on the Fourth of July), was decent in a handful of others (for example: Jerry Macguire, Valkyre, Magnolia), and has sucked the life out of most other roles (shit like Jack Reacher, any Mission Impossible piece of shit, War of the Worlds, Knight and Day, and, yes, even Top Gun).
Even then he would get a pass except for his trend of the last 12 years or so of trying to convince me that this grinning midget is some sort of action star.
On the plus side he has been in some other good movies (besides the ones already positively mentioned), but I always find myself thinking of the movies according to what I refer to as the "Keanu Reeves affect" in which I say "Gee, that movie was good despite the fact that it had Keanu Reeves (or in this case Tom Cruise) in it!" Minority Report, A Few Good Men, The Firm, Edge of Tomorrow, etc. are good examples of movies that were good but would have been better with another (ie: good) actor in Tom's place!

Again, Sly Stallone, Keanu Reeves, etc. cannot be "overrated" because they are already universally known to stink. Cruise is still revered by some as a good actor, and is therefore (IMO overrated).

Collateral.

Because he is mostly that smarmy asshole, except collateral. Where he is awesome.

I'm but the biggest movie buff, but I see enough to know bad acting when I see it.

Loved most of the Rocky movies, but Sly Stallone was nothing outside of those.

Agree on the Brad Pitt choice.

Female...Bullock I guess would be my pick, Paltrow is right up there too in my book.

Some of you just are just nuts... Sandy Bullocks? Brad Pitt? Daniel Day Lewis? Seriously?

I'd say worst who never seemed to have trouble getting work is Jason Lee. I've always thought Jennifer Aniston was pretty terrible as far as actresses go.

A turning point for Cruise imo. Cant stand anything he is in before Collateral but everything after that is at least halfway decent (Tropic Thunder cameo was funny, Last Samurai he was tolerable and Edge of Tomorrow was surprisingly good)

Again, given a good director and good script, (Collateral, Micheal Mann) he can hit a homerun.

Thus he doesn't 'suck.'

Keanu Reeves is the worst actor I've ever seen in my life. With the exception of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (!), he has ruined every movie he's been in due to his horrific acting skills.

Sandra Bullock is really bad too. She has improved over the years, I will give her that, but her early stuff was hard to watch.
