Here's the thing, though: if the players want to get that, they'll have to give something back to the NFL. Are they willing to take a smaller percentage of revenues to get that? Or are they willing to go to an 18 game season? They can't expect the owners to just give something up without giving up something in return.

Unless...

They are seriously willing to go on strike to get it. But based on past negotiations, that seems unlikely. Too many guys need that paycheck to go through a long strike. That's why the owners win basically every time there's a new CBA.

Honestly I could see them using this as that last give by the NFL owners to get the deal done. They barely got it done this last time and many players talked about how they wouldn't have signed it if they actually knew what was in it. So I could see the NFL towards the end of the talks saying "hey we will give you a 5 person panel to handle these things with 2 people from your side, 2 people from our side and a neutral person that both sides have to agree to be on the panel if you can get the players to agree to this."

Honestly I do think it is in the best interest of the NFL to get that power away from Goodell. It hasn't been a good thing with players, media, and fans not exactly agreeing with the way he handles disciplinary issues. So then use that to get the deal done without having to actually give up any of the money.

Better get that stay request to Ginzburg before she keels over!!

Some how Brady needs to delay this until President Trump is able to put a pro-Brady justice on the bench.

president trump could always pardon him too right??

Absolutely! You're right - fuck the justices. First official act - Trump pardons Brady and has Goodell deported.

You know that would be the FIRST thing he would do...I saw that 30 for 30 on who killed the USFL.

WAIT A MINUTE...is this what his whole "running for president" scam is actually all about? He's still bitter than nobody would hand him an NFL team?
