Damon and Greenglass are coming back for the 5th installment. #3 was a favorite of mine. I read the books a long time ago, back when I still read books.

I still haven't seen the 4th one, but I loved the first three with Damon. I need to see that 4th one and get caught up. What was everyone's take on it? Good flick even without Damon?

These are my modern James Bond flicks. Love 'em.

It was a quality installment. It got into a bit more of the universe that Bourne comes from (looking at another "soldier" who went through the same training as Bourne).

It got a bit more science fictiony with Renner ingesting some chems to keep him going. The reviews and ratings were certainly lower compared to the first three.

I do agree with you that the first three were outstanding, and personally the third was one of the top three theater-going experiences I've had. The ending was just perfect. :)

I liked 4 better.(still wasn't quite like watching the first one for the first time though.) Renner topped Damon, plus we already had all the background.

I've never watched all of a Bond movie.

After 9 years Damon returns as Bourne and July 29 is the scheduled release date for "Jason Bourne". I'll probably go see it, but my recent movie going experiences have been sub par due to cell phone usage/texting or others muttering (sometimes to themselves). I leave the theatre feeling I didn't get my money's worth.

Damon stayed away from Bourne for years but finally caved in: "Year after year of people coming up to him on the street, in the coffee shop, at the airport, urging him to make another Bourne film, had had its intended effect. And stumbling upon the production offices of “Legacy” while he was in Vancouver filming “Elysium” a few years earlier may have contributed as well".

I dont like Damon politically, but his movies are generally pretty good and he seems like a fun person (his running gag with Kimmel is still funny).

Still like the first the best. Still a lot of unknowns at that point. You saw the first of the treadstone organizaton. The relationship was actually engaging and it was first time we saw Bourne take someone out with a rolled up magazine and a cheap pen. (YES!!!)

I could watch 1-3 on a weekly basis. Renner is just that actor that rubs me the wrong way, like James Spader, but the movie was decent. It was kinda like watching underworld rise of the lycans without Kate Beckinsale, follow the story but something is missing.

I always wanted to know the connection between Jason and Nicky, I hope it comes out. I was pretty sure they were involved before the mind altering to Bourne. Just think that would be great to be cleared up.

Very excited for this movie. The Bourne series has always been a favorite of mine. I like how they've pretty much kept the plot completely under wraps.

Didn't Damon say he hated one of these films he was in? can't remember which one.

With that said the previews for this one look sick! Julia Stiles is back in this one too, correct?

Yes, Julia Styles, Nikki is back in this one. I sure hope it comes out that they were involved before and during his conversion. She shows it on her face every time she looks at him.

The Jimmy Kimmel Matt Damon game is reaching new peaks on his show. Damon is really a fun actor.

She all but admitted it during a conversation in the 3rd movie.

Damon has made Bourne, Bourne. They tried to shift the character to Renner but it just didn't work. Unless they put everything to bed in this movie, people will continue to demand more. Problem for Damon is that he's not getting younger and trying to continue the character at the same level gets more and more difficult.

Kinda like Clint Eastwood trying to carry off "The Nameless Stranger" in High Plains Drifter in a remake.

Bourne almost has to be a bit smarter after being out of the 'game' for so long. He and Nicky have to ride off into the sunset.
