I fucking DESPISE the Lakers.

But, Magic is my favorite player of All time and Shaq is in my FAve 5.

lol...Lakers, I won't hold that against you Mecca...Magic...I was out during lunch and the sportstalk guys were talking about their NBA Mt Rushmore...Magic is definitely one for me.

Shaq...to be honest, he's behind Kareem by a pretty wide margin in terms of his skills, but I'm a big fan nonetheless.

when I was a kid I remember when he played against the aging Wilt Chamberlain(now i'm SERIOUSLY putting some age on myself). the year the Lakers got the record for the NBA's longest winning streak it was Kareem and the Bucks that snapped it...

was NOT happy with those guys for a while...

Yeah you are...I remember Wilt as a Laker, Gail Goodrich comes to mind...but I was pretty young then...Wilt was truly before his time...just amazing he wasn't more successful against the Celtics.

It isn't about defending, it is about him running around wasting energy. I see Curry on Kyrie a lot but we will see. Plus JR is one of those shooters where it really doesn't matter if you defend him well or not (like Klay or Curry), he is either on a hot streak or a cold one. Hoping his hotness continues in the Finals.

I expect klay on kyrie 60% of the time atleast

No, Klay was never part of the offer. As a matter of fact they wanted Klay and that's what made GS take the offer off the table, said Klay was never available.

I heard they originally had it and then pulled it away

Well not in the Finals last year lol. Arguably, not in the playoff this year so far.

LOL Totally!

If only he played better last year the Warriors might have won the championship. He totally sucked last year in the finals.

If that was the case-and it would've been exactly what Minny wanted- why wouldn't they have jumped at that offer before GS could rescind it? I think what you're referring to are rumors of him being included in the deal.

Don't listen to that crap. It ALWAYS about defending when you're trying to repeat. If it was only about him wasting energy then why would he have guarded the star player in EVERY round of these playoffs so far?

Some people just throw crap against the wall to see what actually sticks.

He was included.

Then Minny tried to r*pe the Warriors by asking for a pick, Barnes and for the Warriors to take Kevin Martin.

Doesn't matter..it didn't happen thanks to West and Kerr.

ESPN.com reported earlier Thursday that the Warriors have greatly increased their chances of winning the Love sweepstakes by making Thompson available to the Wolves in trade talks. The Warriors, after initially resisting Minnesota's push for Thompson, have relented and now are including Thompson in various trade proposals.

Thompson's father, Mychal, a former No. 1 overall pick in the NBA draft and now a radio analyst on Los Angeles Lakers broadcasts, said Thursday on ESPN LA 710 AM that the Warriors and Wolves have been discussing a deal in which Golden State would receive Martin from Minnesota in addition to Love for Thompson, Lee and a future first-round pick. The Warriors do not have a first-round pick in next week's draft.

Well I didn't say he sucked but ok lol.

Who won MVP? Remind me again. Ohh yeah the guy that defended Lebron and scored. Curry had Delly guarding him for the entire series :laugh3: C'mon he was the 2nd best player in the Finals, apparently the 3rd since he didn't win the MVP lol. Curry was also guarding Delly, he only had to focus on offense.

Ok, but I still don't see what your point is. Why are Cavs fans so hung up on who the MVP of the series was? The fact that Steph was in your estimation the 3rd best player in the series and the Warriors still won, should actually trouble you more than you should be happy about it.

Edit: And Klay was probably not even in the top 5 players in last years finals.

I've seen all of the articles you listed- but none of them were ever confirmed by someone from the GS FO. The only I've seen confirmed is that West said he would've resigned if they traded Klay- which makes it hard for me to believe that they originally had offered him up.

If it was reported by Chris Broussard, yeah...I'd totally agree.

But, It doesn't even matter 2 years later.

People discuss ways to improve their team every day.

Nothing wrong with that.

The biggest take away is: THEY WERE SMART ENOUGH TO SAY NO.

If memory serves, Klay struggled a lot in that series. Given how he's playing now and that Curry looks to be back in form, I'd be worried if I'm the Cavs. Also, you could attribute Draymond's struggles in the last series due to match ups with Ibaka and Adams. His matchup against Love and Thompson gets significantly easier on the offensive end.

Klay did struggle a lot in that series. I wouldn't expect it to happen again, especially with the way they're playing right now.

Cavs fans point to their offense being supremely better, but it was their defense and slowing the pace of the game that really confused and flustered the Warriors in last year's finals. If the Cavs want to get into an up and down game with the Warriors, then that IMO heavily favors the Warriors.

The Cavs will not trot out a traditional center during the game, which really helps the Warriors seeing as it has been their weakest position so far in these playoffs. The Warriors have the moving parts to defend the Cavs 4/5 position and the threat of their outside shooting.

Both teams possess explosive offenses. This series is going to come down to who defends better. If the Cavs space the floor, the Warriors really have to worry about dribble penetration from Lebron and Kyrie. Alternately, the Cavs are going to have to worry about how they defend the pick and roll with Love and Kyrie.
