Yeah, it's pretty analogous to a baseball team starting a bunch of fringe prospects. Well duh they don't think they'll win with that. If said fringe player works out, RG3 in this case, it makes the Browns' rebuilding that much easier. PFF reached there- if anything it's pretty smart. Not sure how the Browns rolling into the season with RGIII as the presumptive is a worse move than the Broncos rolling into the season with Sanchez as the presumptive starter. Nobody expects anything from the Browns regardless of who their starting QB is.
Maybe because they think more highly of Sanchez or Lynch than they do of RGIII?Not sure how the Browns rolling into the season with RGIII as the presumptive starter is a worse move than the Broncos rolling into the season with Sanchez as the presumptive starter. Um, that is the point. If Sanchez or Lynch or even Siemian starts for the Broncos next year and performs better than RGIII, then the Broncos move to go with one of those guys was a better decision.Whoever is the worse QB out of those 2 next year has very little to do with the point.

This should be a fun meltdown to watch in the Bay Area. Now if the Raiders go .500-ish again that would be extra amusing.#1: The 49ers hiring Chip Kelly.
How many times are Denver fans going to say this as if it has meaning to this coming season. Couple of you Denver boys have made the hoop's epic obnoxious stage at this point. The Broncos didn't win the Super Bowl because of great qb play, they basically won it dragging the corpse of Peyton Manning. When viewed in that light, starting the season with Sanchez, Lynch, or Siemian doesn't seem all that terrible.
I'm convinced you write more about the Denver Bronco's than any person paid to do it.Well let's look at the Broncos other options...
1) Try to keep Osweiler who they voted as the worst off season move of the year so far where we would have had to pay him $18-19 million. When you throw in he wanted out of Peyton's shadow and was mad that he got benched probably not really a viable option.
2) Trade for Kaepernick who is coming off injury, had a terrible couple of seasons, wanted decent money to come, and would have had to give up somewhere between a 2nd and 4th round pick to get him.
3) Sign one of the other veterans that are pretty much comparable to that of Sanchez.
4) Trade for Bradford with his big contract when the Eagles were wanting a 1st round pick in return.
Here is the difference between the Browns and Broncos situation...The Browns actually had the 2nd pick in the draft where they could have picked the next possible franchise QB. They obviously didn't value the top-2 guys at the level that other teams did. They had that extra option though compared to the Broncos being at the back end of 1.

Personally, I was happy for D. Ware, but I'll be glad when Denver are the ex-champs.

At what point did the bashing of Peyton Manning and the championing of Mark Sanchez start by Broncos' fans? Was there a countdown?
You do not measure the quality of moves at the QB position the same for a cellar dweller and a team trying to repeat as champion. It doesn't matter who sucks more as a QB this coming year.
I mean, is it incorrect? How many times are Denver fans going to say this as if it has meaning to this coming season. Couple of you Denver boys have made the hoop's epic obnoxious stage at this point.
Yes Sir....looking right at ya.
Give it a rest
It's not bashing Manning to call him a lousy qb last year, it's the truth. The man is a hall of famer and all time great, but he mostly sucked last season. I would say he hung on one year too long, but he got a ring out of the deal so it worked out.At what point did the bashing of Peyton Manning and the championing of Mark Sanchez start by Broncos' fans? wasn't meant as a slam...just a thought from a somewhat knowledgeable football fan that reads much more than posts. You're correct, winning a championship gives some fans a right of passage to come off as a higher authority cause their team won the SB. The hoop serves as a good example of that....least the last 3 years it has.Well not sure whether to take that as a compliment or not. Pretty sure every year most fans of other teams can't wait until the team that won it are ex-champs until the next set of fans do the exact same thing. Just comes with the territory I guess. You get a little overamped by the fact that you get to call your team the Champs.

You're right that you can't measure the moves the Broncos and Browns made at qb the same because one team sucks and the other is the defending champion, but you also can't judge them the same because one team was picking at the top of the draft and the other was drafting dead last. The Browns had a lot more potential to get a qb they wanted either from the draft or using their pick to trade down, and they chose RGIII. Meanwhile, Denver had to trade up just to get the third best qb in the draft. That's why it's possibleto look at the Browns and say, yeah, they could have done better, and look at Denver and think they made the best of a difficult situation.
