With the way the RG3 trade turned out I seriously doubt that any team will give up the necessary picks to move up. Take Tunsil to protect your QB or Treadwell to give him a big target and get ready for round 2

Totally agree, they have to build around the franchise qb, protect him and give him some weapons...Simple winning formula....:2cents:

At this point right now i'd start getting ready for the draft but this is what i would do.....

This team has spent millions of dollars and drafted first round time and again and still don't have even a decent offensive line. We just picked up center Ben Jones in FA and already have Warmack at guard and Lewan at left tackle leaving two openings.

In free agency or possibly the draft the two spots on the line must by filled i just wouldn't do it with a first round pick.

IMO our defense has suffered the last few years due to the overspending and overindulging on the line which ironically didn't help anyway.

Best move for Tennessee would be to partition the NFL to see if they can go to the CFL:noidea:

IMO...only 2 picks make sense if they don't get any offers.

Ramsey or Tunsil.

Keeping Mularkey on board kept several things intact that coach Whiz started which tells me the regime is committed to LaBeau/Horton for now.

As badly as the Titans need a play maker on the front 7...imo there is not a worthy player @ 1 this year...the best player on DEF is Ramsey...if you want to fix the DEF, start there.

Decker, Spriggs, Coleman, or Hawkins...one of those guys will be there a the top of the 2nd...keep Lewan at LT until the rookie earns it.

Trade down now, it doesn't have to be huge price, just gain extra picks this year and next....

Yeah but where?...Wentz might be worthy of trading up for, but he's not leaps and bounds better than Goff...Tunsil is top shelf, and even if he is THAT much better than the next OT How much are you willing to give up for a LT?

If they drop out of the top 10, they would have to ignore all of the value points that say you should get X in return...GMs tend to go close the book on this and that scares a lot of teams away.

Trading down is the best play, but it's not a big harvest yr.

So why not move down if you can gain more second and third rounds this year, It's not like the Titans are one player for being a contender, guard position is deep, defensive line is deep, get the corners and LB's early round's and start building this defense.

That's a good proposal. But you need to find the right dance partner. Over the past few years that seems to be getting more difficult. I think unless your team is in desperate need of that potential number one they take the option of staying put and getting the number 2 or 3.
The cost of the number 1, which we all know is no guarentee to excel combined with giving up additional picks just doesn't seem worth the gamble. You really need to like that # 1.

I'm not arguing against trading...I agree with you. TN is not going to win 10 games next yr most likely so they can afford to spread the picks out.

The issue is a trade partner. The best partner out there imo is LA with 15, 43, 45, 76, 111...picks...the funky valuation system would probably say swapping 1 for 15 needs to both 43 & 45 plus 111 or something. Or let's say 2 first rounders '16 & '17, and #45 & #76 this year).

I'd jump on that if I'm TN, but if you're LA...there's a good chance Lynch is on the board at 15...Is Wentz or Goff worth that?

Agreed...if this was a Luck type prospect @ QB and that's what you really need...maybe you roll the dice, but you don't do that for a Bortles like prospect which most people compare Wentz & Goff to skillset wise.

Even if LA decides to use that many assets to move up, why would Tennessee want to move that far down? It seems the upper echelon of the draft is at most the top 10 picks. I can't imagine the Titans moving any further.

Just to be straight with you guys i don't have anything against the Patriots at all but i can see where things like this would make fans of other teams a little sick of the constant bragging. Nothing lasts forever guys and Brady is hitting 40 as well. Also i say sooner rather than later Belichick is gonna want to spend whatever years he has left with his significant other which i'm sure he has.

I'm 41 and went years with no team at all here until we got the Titans in '99.

As far as Tennessee, From 1999 through 2013 the teams first 15 years the Titans had the NFL best record twice, seven winning seasons, six different years of playoff appearances, two AFC championship game appearances and one Super Bowl app. Not bad for the first 15 years in TN.

Tennessee has had two rough seasons back to back all teams at some point go through this.

The team now has a good QB and a GM that just left New England.

TN needs impact DEF players, solidify one of the OT spots...if they stay in the top 10...they are assured of curing one of those positions with a highly rated talent....If I dropped to 15...the cost goes up.

I can still get one of the OTs, or one of the CBs, but Jack, Lawson, Bosa, Spence, the top front 7 guys will be off the board. As a result I would want 43,45 and 111 to drop that far down.

I can't see the Rams spending that much on this QB class, but who knows? I would think their 2017 1st and a 2016 2nd would be more likely than both 2016 2nds, as the Rams badly need a WR and TE as well. For the Rams to use 4 of their 6 2016 picks on a QB would be tough to take.

And a team that has melted down worse than Virginia did yesterday on multiple occasions.

They're at best a mediocre franchise.

Always have been.

They need new blood, especially in the owner's box.
