im sure New York is driving that shit...no fucking way do the Cavs help the Celtics who are on track to be their rival over the next few years in the East....i just dont see it.
its interesting....i think your right that it would make us better tomorrow.....but i dunno....i dont know if our ceiling would be as high as if they can finally integrate Love and make it all work....I would think the Cavs would get more than just Melo as well.....Getting Kevin Love is not going to help....They made the finals without love
Love is not really a superstar imo....nobody fears kevin love, or does any tpye of game planning for kevin love...Sure put him on an orlando or a minn and he will get you 25 pts 10 rebounds shooting 41% and they will never see the playoffs...mello at least makes the playoffs as the best player on his team and is a true star
It wouldn't work. They'd be the Anaheim Angels of the NBAWhy would the Cavs want Melo? He's not a PF and LeBron is there. The only reason I can think of is wanting to be able to play small against a team like GSW with Melo at the 4 and TT at the 5, but that won't make them better than the Warriors. I don't blame the Knicks wanting to move Melo though.
lol.....at least you only need 5 guys in basketball......yah not happening- it would be a big mismatch of talent and just not make a lot of sense in my mind...but like i siad- im sure they would get more than just melo so id have to see the whole deal- but its all for nothing anyway since it aint happening....they arent gonna trade Love. Hes 27 and under contract for 4 more years...theres incredible value there. It wouldn't work. They'd be the Anaheim Angels of the NBA

its fun to talk about but its def not something i would think has even a remote chance of happening..
lol..it would be funny to see LeBron, Melo and Irving- like 3 of the top 6-7 ISO guys in the NBA try and figure out how to share the ball.

Boston has the foundation and the assets. Boston isnt contending this year---- but next year or after? DEFINITELYHow many times has @WiggyRuss says that to contend you need to have superstars/star power?
Who are the stars/superstars on the Celts?

1. Kevin Love's 3pt shooting is better than Melo's, this year and for their careers(on more attempts).Because they want Love to hover behind the 3pts line and stretch the floor.
He can do it in spurts. But, that isn't his game.
Melo would be ecstatic to fill that role.
2. Melo isn't just a standstill 3pt shooter either, he likes to attack the basket and shoot mid range shots.
If Melo does waive his no trade clause, which is pretty doubtful..(but who knows, maybe Phil & melo's agent convinces him to do it)...the Knicks would much rather trade him to a western conference team...ie: Rockets, Lakers,Blazers or possibly Grizzlies.
