Never heard of him

The Braves at one time, along with the Expos had a spring training facility in West Palm beach Florida. I sometimes went to those games in the 70s. So I saw Burroughs play. Since Florida did not have a team at that time, it was the only baseball I got to see except when I went to Philly on vacation.

When did you move to Florida?

I moved to Florida in 1971. Was only going to stay for a year but I found a job making great money in the car business. From that point on I would visit Philly almost every year while on vacation. Right now it is 62 degrees
where I live. No more snow and ice to contend with.

Actually South Florida, but not inland. Just outside of Stuart Florida, close to lake Okeechobee.

Many years ago I fell in love with Jupiter Beach nearby because it was so laid back and untouched by commerce and condos. It's still a nice area to live near.

I have friends who live there. I also attended a baptism of a friend at the beach. They perform it in the shallow waters. The area hasn't changed much through the years and since there is a decent portion of people with money who live in the area you will see some beautiful women at the beach.
