NFL has global gathering and huge fans are barely catching on to the sport, and it has traction. NFL correctly envisioned that most of their fans in the future will be from other countries outside of the USA.

Two very good friends. Pic taken at the Pats @ Cowboys game 2007. All part of the old MSN NFL group that used to meet once a year in Vegas. Group consisted of people from every single team simply enjoying football with each other.
