Unless my eyes deceive me, you didn't mention FSU anywhere on this list. If your cutoff is the past 40-50 years, they're definitely Tier 1
That list made me  especially Miami at 4 :L I did some research as far as i can tell the blood in boise is not blue. The lists you and @ElTexan stand and are the only True blue bloods everyone else may collect their muffin baskets in thanks for participating :dhd:

Traditional Powers: Alabama, Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio St, Notre Dame, Nebraska, USC, Texas, Penn St, and Tennessee.

Next tier: LSU, Florida St, Georgia, UCLA, Auburn, Miami, Michigan St, Florida, and Arkansas.

Have work to do but still good programs historically: Iowa, Wisconsin, Texas A&M, Washington, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Pittsburgh, Ole Miss, TCU, Stanford, Minnesota, and Oregon.

IMO true Blue bloods are Alabama,ND,Texas,Oklahoma,Michigan,Ohio Stae and USC

Im working on assigning other blood types to the rest of the pack once proper samples are provided by each program

I think you have to add Nebraska to that as much as their whiny ass fans piss me off online. They have more top 10 finishes than USC and Texas (by 5 surprisingly).

P.S. Be careful and don't pick up a disease handling some of that blood.

Nebraska was borderline for me the only team i could see as a blue blood. I can see Nebraska on the list they have A case. But as for any other teams never happening claiming otherwise is just A stretch and disgrace to the term blue blood, college football and its history

Think Coca Cola, Pepsi, Chevrolet, Ford, etc.

Blue Blood is basically a marketing term. These are the huge brand names with an emphasis on longevity & tradition.

Translated to college football, there are probably approx. seven huge brand names:
USC, Texas, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama (Nebraska used to be on this list, but is currently a small step below... the same thing for Penn State... but... Penn State is looking at a resurgence and might be back on this list soon).

There a a few more that are pretty close... some examples:
LSU, Tennessee, Florida

We're checking. Let's see how many National Championships Oregon has won in the past 121 years since they started their program. I'm looking. Don't rush me. OK, here it is: ZERO. Not a blue blood by any stretch of the imagination.

Basically my criteria is a large fan base, at least 1 national title without decades of being terrible(Colorado, Illinois, Minnesota, Arkansas etc) and a big time money maker program.
During realignment a few years ago and the talk of "the 64", USA Today had a story on the programs that were "really" in the black. There weren't even close to 64. IIRC, there were only about 25-30 that really brought in more than they spent. The top 3 were UT, tOSU and Bama I believe. May have changed now with the new TV contracts.

I'd begin with those 25-30 and cull from there.

If winning is the main criteria, Nebraska is a must have on the list. If you want to argue Texas's history over Nebraska's, you're delusional.

I got in to a fight at the Sonic when I was in high school. Good times ! :pound:
Youngsters. We didn't have Sonics. We had the real old fashioned drive ins with real car hops that took AND delivered orders. None of those fancy intercoms and shit.

Fights were the same though.

Notre Dame, Alabama, USC, Oklahoma, Ohio St, Michigan then Nebraska, LSU, Florida St

Not in any particular order, and just my opinion.

Edit: Texas in that first tier as well
