They have been talking for a couple weeks now
About a Mysterious injury that will allow the team to basically bench manning
The franchise still have to respect a hof qb elway knows that but no way manning plays with a torn anything. I doubt he has a torn foot muscle. His arm is shot and the line has him throwing way be he should but 17 ints half through the year will get Amgen benched for a viable backup
An injury Does not account for his decision making nor the poor throw to start the game

Right! 100%

Completely off topic here but can you guys go to your local place of worship and say a few prayers for Tyler Eifert to get 100 yards, or like 2 or three tds tonight. I need the soulless ginger to target him early and often for my ff team

I am reeling form the -7 points PM got me yesterday. I need Hopkins to go off and the Bengals D to suck. Its do or die time for my fantasy squad.

I really disliked seeing the Broncos lose like that, and while I was never really happy with Peyton as the Bronco QB, I hated seeing him struggle like that .. He returned from a very serious situation with his neck and I've got a lot of respect for the guy . .

I gotta say though that I am very excited to see what this offense will be with Oz ... Not just Oz, but the fact that Oz has probably had more reps with guys like Latimer and Fowler and Virg makes me feel that the offense will be more balanced ... DT will obviously still be the go to guy, but at this point, I don't think Oz will go out there relying on an established comfort zone - we will see other guys get involved

Lmfao! Funny as hell.

I'm with you though. Dalton is my starter in all 3 of my leagues, and while I've already got two game virtually locked, I have him and Eifert in my 3rd league and I'm down 30+ points going into tonight. I need big games from both of them.......and the Bengals D while they're at it.

Oz is in a very unusual, and extremely critical position ... He is playing for his first big contract in the NFL, yet this will be his first NFL start - all this from guy who only started 15 games at Arizona State ..

Not to mention the fact that he is taking over for Peyton Manning, on a team that has a Super Bowl caliber defense ...... All this on the road, vs his former head coach and offensive coordinator .

there is a lot of weight on his shoulders, and he deserves some slack and patience

I agree with this. As much as we all think Brock could be a great fit in Kube's system, we can't overlook the fact that he's getting his 1st NFL start. The Bears defense will throw everything at him and mix up their looks often. I love Osweiler's mobility but I won't be surprised if he struggles quite a bit. Don't forget that inserting Oz will also be a huge adjustment for the O-line. As everyone has noted, it can't be much worse than having our QB throw 2-4 picks per game but I'm guessing it will be ugly at times, with flashes of brilliance (I hope!). This should be a very interesting game but I think we'll need to see Oz for several games to really start to comprehend what he might be to the Broncos moving forward.

Patience? Oz has supposedly been learning from the Bhudda master of QBs for three plus years. I'll make some allowance for him, but his birth as a NFL Qb should be nearly formed - IMO.

While I agree it will be ugly at times I will say the OL and the rest should be more used to Osweiler than most back up QB's in the NFL. He has gotten every Wednesday practice as the starter this season. So they should be more used to how he does his kadence or what he likes to do. I'm wondering if this switches up to us working more under Center. If so then yeah that changes the timing of the OL and what they do so we could see some growing pains in that area if that is what we do.

I am very interested to see how Chicago decides to play him. The fact that they have pretty much no film on him could mean they keep things a bit more simple this week at least at first trying to get a read on what the Broncos are trying to do. Or I could see them load up to stop the run and pretty much say "we are going to make this Osweiler kid beat us in his first NFL start."

The smartest thing is expect nothing much. I hope Brock does well enough that we don't flip flop QB's every few weeks.
