Hillsborough County boasts some of nation’s top football recruits
This our first year in the 7A District 8 which is all Hillsbourough County schools except us. Just about every team we play has multiple D1 recruits.
Its tough for us we are a new school on its 4th coach in 4 years. We had a good coach 2 years ago, he took a job at Kansas State. The last guy got fired. The new coach is very good, he coached in this district for several years and won championships, he just rebuilt another program that was 0-20 when he got there, in year 2 they playoffs. We are building from scratch. We started out with low number then got killed by the injury bug. This year our starting running back tore his ACL, the starting QB broke his leg week 3. We had over a dozen sophomores starting at the end of the year. We definitely had trouble competing. The good news is our young guys are really good and the future is bright. We started out with 26 on JV, we started winning and kids started coming out, we ended up with 44 before they took 4 of my 2 way starters to Varsity. It was good athletes too that came out late not shmos. Some were basketball players that ended up starting.

Yes thats us. I am the defensive coordinator on the JV team and also the receivers coach offensively. I also assisted with the varsity with the db's and receivers.

HOF...im not going to look and guess PA. But in 30 years it will probably be Cali. Cant compete with 30 million people, its a numbers game. Truth be told the coaching in Florida isnt that great, they just have so many raw athletes.
