Chicken man vs a guy so old that under debut it says DUST

This one might make the Foxx vs Berkman one look close.

Interesting about White. He is officially the first ever hitter in "MLB". He led off and played catcher for the Cleveland Forest Cities against the Ft. Wayne Kekiongas in Ft. Wayne. He doubled in his first AB.

Boggs as 3 seed is laughable
He explained the seedings. It was not subjective by any measure. This is why we are doing the votes, though.

I agree that Boggs will likely not finish "3rd" in this thing.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to bash the OP, just so many 3B I'd easily put ahead of Boggs. That's the fun of the votes:suds:

Why?

WAR is not the best stat IMO, but it is a good place to start these discussions and Boggs has the third highest WAR among 3B.
WAR is a conversation starter, but I'd be real surprised if Boggs made it past the quarterfinals. Heck, #8 is Molitor, I'd take him all day

At least Boggs was actually a 3B, though...

Baker/Cey he should win. The next round he most likely gets Beltre which could be interesting and if he gets past Adrian(I am with you and doubt this), he gets either Brooksie or Mathews and he is done.

It's going to be interesting to see where Beltre stacks up when his career ends. His numbers are starting to pile up and he's still going strong. When it comes to defense, the only guy in his class is Brooks Robinson IMO

His career is pretty much done already. His name is not going to get any better!!!

No way I could take Boggs over Brooks though

why?? Brooks might be the best defensive 3B of all time but boggs was damn good too defensively... and offensively it is not even close... .400 OBP players don't fall of the tree especially ones that play such a long career...

Brooks was nothing offensively
