If he's just not a natural good blocker then just use him as a receiver ... WHO cares! Imagine 6.7 inch Graham on one side and 6.5 inch Mathews on the other.... We have speed so we can mix that in... I know the Saints used him as a receiver and not a TE on play's ...

Which is why I said it has to happen at some point.

That point in time could have very well been this season if Lynch decided to retire. There's certain players you're able to game plan around because they're awesome at what they do and you can't just plug another "RB" into the lineup and think you'll have nearly the success that you had before. This isn't madden football. How many times did it seem like Lynch was going to get hit for a loss and the play ended up going for 4+ yards? That isn't coaching. That's Lynch being Lynch. Now's the time to let Wilson be Wilson and let his unique skill set impact games.

some one has been watching NFL network WAY to much lol. .

Definitely is funny because I've been at Spring Training all week and have had no access to the NFL Network...

I form my own opinions, thank you...:gaah:

Instead of labeling Graham as a weak blocking TE, why not look at him as a 6'7"WR that has proven to be highly effective as a pass catcher in the NFL. The only reason we can't look ay JC as a WR is because he is too big to be a WR.
Enlist a paradigm shift into him being a 6'7" WR and you will love him.
Besides, it has been since Brian Blades (1989?) since we have had a WR or TE make the pro bowl.
Pretty weak in the sauce.
We can draft a run blocker TE later in the draft if needed.

Alex Bannister made it in 2003 listed as a WR/TE, but if I remember correctly he made it for special teams. So yes, it's been a while since we last had a Pro Bowl WR or TE in the Pro Bowl. The thing is is that it has pretty much been by design. At least for the last 15 years it has. Dating back to the beginning of the Holmgren era, even though that offense was more balanced between the run and the pass, the passing game always called for the QB to spread the ball around. It's pretty hard for any single receiver or tight end to put up Pro Bowl numbers when he has to share the ball with every other eligible player on the offense. I'm sure they'll tweak the offense to take advantage of having Graham in there, but it's still gonna be a run-first offense with a passing game that focuses on spreading the ball around. They might just decide to spread it around a little less than they have in recent years.

Interestingly enough, despite that the Seahawks spread the ball around, Graham is coming off a year where is was targeted 18% of the time, while Baldwin was targeted 21% of the time for Seattle. I wouldn't be surprised if Graham is targeted at least 125 times (Baldwin was targeted 98) and that Wilson's attempts go up to 500 or more.

It will be fun to see how it all shakes out.

overrated, cant block to save his life either. he will be good in the redzone...which they need desperately. wilson was THE worst QB in the redzone last year, i think he completed under 50% of his passes there.

Yeah...he also threw 13 TDs against 1 INT (and ran in another 5).

yes, but statistically, i believe (may be wrong) he was the worst redzone QB in the NFL last year.

Ummm...no.

First QB I thought of was Bortles. 34% in the RZ, 5 TDs, 2 INTs.
