I think that's the environment he needs to succeed in. Low-profile school with low expectations. I can't tell you why he's doing better there, but what I can tell you is that he wasn't even able to produce a field goal kicker during his 3 years at Michigan. I think his last year we were something crazy like 4-11 on field goal attempts. Hard for me to blame anything other than coaching on that.

Michigan hasn't been a top 5 team since before my daughter was born and she starts high school next year. You need more than just a hire to start boasting again.

Top 5 team? Probably not in that span. But most certainly finishing top 10 multiple times. I'm not sure why people are saying I'm "boasting" -- but I'm certainly excited about most of the names I'm hearing to be head coach; which I can't say about the last 2 coaching hires outside of Les.

Love Michigan fans who actually think they will get Les Miles or Jim Harbaugh. Why the fuck would Miles leave LSU to go to that mess and Harbaugh will stay at SF or get another NFL coaching job. WAKE UP. If the Florida and Nebraska hires tell us anything, it's that big name coaches aren't availble no matter what your "resources" are.

I wouldn't get too excited about the names being thrown out there. It's all speculation. Remember, Saban to Texas was a "done deal." His wife was even picking out a house.

I like CC, and yes he has broken some good leads in the past. But really? Belichick?

Lets entertain this for a moment....what makes him an attractive college coach? I don't see BB chasing 15-18 year old kids. I don't see him enjoying stumping around the state at Elks fundraisers or alumni dinners.

Interesting but I think the Michigan fanbase would be pretty disappointed. He utterly sucked as a head coach and probably wants nothing to do with a spotlight this big again.

This is the same guy who thought he could make Tim Tebow an NFL QB. I wouldn't underestimate the arrogance of a guy like McDaniels. As soon as someone will hire him as a head coach again, he'll take the job.

I'm not as excited about 1 specific name as I am that most names are not garbage like the last few times around. The caliber of names is much more exciting.
