I'm honestly not mad at all. The best QB in the country played like that in the 2nd half. We stood toe to toe with the defending champs in their house. We did almost everything well except for stop Jameis in the 2nd half. Our offense was flawless for the most part.

The only thing I'm mad about is the offensive PI that could have been avoided.

If we play like this the rest of the year, we will go 11-1 and be in the playoffs.

We can't overlook any team though. Each team must have 100% of our attention.

We are such a good offensive team when EG isn't having the careless turnovers

Not mad. Pretty numb. Combination of alcohol and thinking we won the game. Not happy with moral victories.

No moral victory here. I'm just thinking about the playoffs though.

I know if we play this way we will win out and probably get another shot at FSU in the playoffs.

I would be much more pissed if this was the BCS system

What killed us was that drive when we settled for a fg to go up 3

I am not afraid to admit I'm pissed that we got royally fucked that last play (ok, 2nd to last). I don't like it any time the ref's or umps decide the winner which is exactly what happened tonight.

having said that I too am extremely pleased with how we played tho, unlike some, I'm not convinced we can play like this from here on. too inconsistent. next year was always the year even tho it's not beyond this team to reach the playoffs. it's apparent that when we play our best we can play with anyone.

crazy mad. most of knew ACC refs would screw us. the good news 11-1 and we are good for playoffs. we better not fall above #9. just lost to the defending champs on the road by a bullshit call. we should be #7 or 8 but 9 is the lowest. this sucks. we out played them and everything

The refs did not screw us. Take your biased glasses off. It is 4th and goal in the game of the year so far, the refs aren't going to let an obvious pick play which free up the WR happen. Just like they wouldn't let a DB get away with a lot of grabbing there.

Stop blaming the refs....it's real childish

guys. I'm a true blood Irish fan.

Fontese grabbed the guys jeresy or shoulder pads in attempt for a pick

that is offense PI.

What i don't get is why he did it. I think if he didn't Robinson would have made a sideline catch TD because RAMSEY was out of postion. Irish win. There was no reason for the pick attempt.

Exactly that pick was so freaking obvious. You can set a pick but don't make it so freaking obvious. He didn't even look like he was running a route.....looked like a blocker more than a WR running a route

Great game. Frankly it was hard to decide who to root against but I was rooting for your guys to win at the end. It was a good call by the ref though. It looked like there were 2 WRs blocking DBs in fact. It was an easy call. The Irish will still be one of the 4 if they run the table, imo.

If what you're saying is true, then my stance that it was a chicken shit call stands. If it wouldn't have made a difference, then there's no reason to flag it, ala no PI on an uncatchable ball. On another site, they slowed the replay down after the flag is thrown, they swear the other official was mouthing, "you're gonna call that here?" Probably wishful thinking, but this is hardly the slam dunk you all are making this out to be. Even if a technically correct call, the "pick" likely made no difference because they were so far out of position, it took points off the board and effectively decided the game.

I was furious for about a half hr. they called a penalty on a play I bitch about all the time that never gets called (Denver Broncos football). of course it is called on our team. that being said, the first and goal play call really hurt the rest of play calling on the final set of downs. really really hated that call

Not too bothered by that call. We had a lot of success running it all night. With only one timeout it kinda hurt. I wish we had two TO's and we tried at least one draw. I don't think they would have expected that. If it wasn't there Procise was probably supposed to get out of bounds.
PS. It's 1:45 am in the east and I'm still pissed. We have to wait two weeks to play. I hope we destroy Navy, take the loss out on them. We're gonna have a tough one in Tempe.

I'm not mad so much as I'm disappointed that such a good game ended via penalty. Otherwise, I'm pretty satisfied. We weren't really able to get 'enough' pressure on Winston in the second half. I chalk that up to good play and maybe a little bit of youth on our D. One thing you have to remember is "you live with the blitz, you die with the blitz" and we've personified that cliche on D, so nothing new there.

We lost the game officially but I think even though it was called back, for me as a fan, I know we made the right call, the play was there and executed. I thought it was a bit ticky-tacky to be calling that at that time but whatever, not complaining about that too much. I think it sucks because I think we played well enough to and deserved the W, we just didn't get it. My only two issues were with the playcalling on two drives in the second half, I thought we squandered two possessions when you were getting the feeling that possessions were going to really mean a lot. However, I'm proud of how the team played. We haven't exactly had the best record or success against top 5 opponents for a while, this was our best game against a top team in some time and a huge difference than the way we played against Alabama a couple years ago. This team was projected to be 8-4 ish? I'll take 11-1 and be happy with the progress the program is making.

Whatever it was that woke up those lineman, can we make sure they get a steady dose of that? I didn't like us getting away from the run a bit there in the second half, time wasn't really a factor until our very last possession and we hadn't run the ball in the previous possession if memory serves. I kind of got why I think Kelly didn't run it like he had earlier, I suspect he was thinking in terms of having time for another possession if we failed to score on that one, but I think it serves to show that when you take away one dimension of your game it makes it a lot easier to defend you as well, so keep mixing it up!

We did damned near everything in this game, we controlled it as the visitor, we held the lead and controlled time of possession much of the game, we just didn't get the W, but we did everything else and I like seeing that, they should definitely be feeling good despite the L.
