This announcer is for shit. Even on the replay he can't see an obvious facemask. I don't want a homer but don't want a blind man announcer either.

I think the NBC announcers go out of their way to not sound like ND homers, but they come off like morons when they do.

I mean, just call the game. It should be pretty easy to be neutral. That's why they shouldn't be second guessing every call. If they want to state their opinion fine, but that can be done in such a way that it doesn't make you look like a dumbass for being consistently wrong, or looking like you have some kind of agenda one way or the other.

Well ND gave it a good try, but Stanford pulls this out in the end.

Over the years there has been numerous times we got fortunate calls and I was first to say we got a break or got lucky. If I would have saw it that way that is what I'd would have said, I watched it three times and never saw the ball hit the ground.
