D-Wade's knees are done and this was clearly his last good season.. if you can even call it good. LA seems to have no problem throwing money around and Lebron could probably talk some other guys like melo into taking less so he can put his new all-star team together. It'll be interesting to see who James gets to sign on with him.

The Lakers will definitely make an offer to him and Lebron will certainly consider it. If the Heat don't win the finals the team will be on a steady decline and Lebron will have to closely look at the options available.

I don't see it happening but never say never.

Yeah, i agree. But the amount of money they gave to Kobe could have already put it to rest... I guess it just depends on how far over the cap LA is willing to go to get another championship team.

Lets see... No coach in L.A... Kobe is has two years left meaning there is no long term deal with the lakers which lebron is looking for.. Howard leaves, coach quits.. Nobody has mention of coming to the lakers... Basically L.A is in a rebuilding mood. If you said about the clippers then yea i would believe that. But not the lakers.

Howard leaving is not a good thing? LA has made some questionable decisions lately, but getting rid of Howard was one of the best things they could have done... I really don't know why they even went after him in the first place.

If I was him I would not stay in Miami, but the Lakers are not a great destination right now. The Knicks are closer to rebuilding than the Lakers, and that's kinda sad to say.

Actually, Kobe's contract has nothing to do with how long term a contract the Lakers give Lebron. The Lakers can offer a max deal on top of what they gave Kobe. In short, Kobe's deal doesn't change what they can offer Lebron. If they get Lebron, they will have no problem with going over the luxury tax to put a contending team around him.

The Lakers are taking their time in hiring a coach because they want to see what Lebron is going to do and what kind of roster they will be putting together so that they can hire the right coach for the roster.

As for nobody mentioning the Lakers, they just talked about it with Chris Mannix on Dan Patrick this morning.

The Clippers have no cap space and there is a shitstorm brewing their with the ownership situation. Donald Sterling has withdrawn his support of the sale, the lawsuit is back on and he has hired an investigative firm to dig up dirt on the NBA, Sterling, Silver and all 29 of the other owners.

Having said all of that, I don't think Lebron leaves Miami. I think he trusts Riley to get him the help he needs.

Getting rid of him?? They had a billboard saying stay howard stay.. Howard was the one that walked away on a fuck up situation and walk into having a better chance of winning. Now what do the lakers have to offer besides money to convince lebron to come play for the lakers for long term?

Of course they will talk.about the lakers.... It's a major market.. They will keep the laker fans hopes alive... I just think the howard walking away really set them back ... They would have had a better chance if howard was still there

The Lakers were hoping that the "Dwightmare" situation was just because he wanted out of Orlando so bad. Turned out that Dwight was a cancer in Orlando and L.A. and he's not exactly a team player in Houston either. As much as some want to try and pretend differently, no one is judging the Lakers on what Dwight Howard did. He's exposed himself for who he really is.

They went after him in an effort to re-build on the fly. They knew that a season like this past season was coming and hoped they could avoid that with Dwight. It didn't work.

What the he did to the magic was really fucked up.. To the lakers he didn't do anything wrong but just moved on... But lakers fans aren't use to seeing that since players usually comes to L.A ever trying to leave.. But times has change

They can put a contending roster around him for the 2 years of Kobe's contract and then re-build around him when Kobe retires. The Lakers have so few players under contract right now that they can literally take the roster in any direction that they want. I'd think that would be pretty interesting, especially for someone like Lebron who is a great team player.

Howard is the one who fucked up the situation, not the Lakers. He came in and thought he knew more about how to win a title than anyone else in the organization.

Ok, so Howard left on his own. LA is still better off w/out him. Does LA need anything else besides money? If Lebron gets to pick the next coach and players that go around him, then he will go to that team. Again, I only posted LA because of the situation they are in right now with players and coaching.

I disagree. No one (except those who are afraid Lebron might actually go to the Lakers) holds what happened with Dwight against the Lakers. Dwight has proven who he is.

As for keeping Lakers fans hopes alive. The majority of the Lakers fans feel the same as I do and as Shaqdaddy stated: the Lakers will put together a very attractive offer and Lebron will say "No, thank you" and stay in Miami. Very few Lakers fans are actually getting their hopes up re: Lebron.

What did he do in Orlando? You mean besides get his coach fired, bitch and complain the whole time, force his way out leaving Orlando getting very little in return, etc., etc.

On the Lakers, he was a locker room cancer and refused to do anything to work on his game. Then, in his last game in a Lakers uniform, he quit on the team. He thought he knew more about winning titles than a team with 16 of them and a player with 5.

When Steve Nash (a career 90%+ free throw shooter) offered to help him with his free throw shooting, Howard declined.

Howard was introduced to Kareem who offered to help Dwight with his offense, gave him his phone number and Dwight never called.

The problem was with Dwight, not the Lakers. When you have a future first ballot hall of famer and arguably the greatest offensive center in the history of the game and hall of famer offer to help you improve and you say no. That's a you problem.

As has been said, the Lakers will put together a very nice offer, Lebron will give it fair consideration and politely decline. He will remain in Miami.
