No Pagan or Posey today. Mets are benching David Wright

Giants 5 Mets 3

Colvin sends one to the cove, Blanco collects two hits

Lincecum has a good record lifetime vs. the Mets and looks to bounce back from a sub-par performance. Time to put on the gloves and come out throwing hay makers against the Mets who will be without David Wright. Giants come into the game resting Pagan and Posey . Giants face Wheeler who was their No. 1 prospect a couple of years ago that was traded for Beltran. Should be a good one so hold on to your hats again.Giants go for the sweep so hopefully the fans will be holding their brooms high waving them in that SF sun at the end of the day.

Picks to click... Pence who was one of the hero's last night...Panda who will reach the water soon...and Crawdaddy ...Hometown kid makes us all proud

Go Giants !!:grouphug:

The force is strong with this team. Rock on !

Nobody with significant ABs vs. Wheeler; Murphy owns Freak.

5-4 good guys...Freaky shitshow and Panda goes deep.

More I think about people saying "Are you going to pay a reliever 17M" as a reason why you need to keep him in the rotation, it makes less sense.

If the starter has been so bad that you need to find another option, would you really sacrifice that start just because of salary.

If you don't perform, you shouldn't be in the rotation

(Yes this is a random thought on Lincecum)

Timmy's 5.21 ERA may be telling us something. On the Mouse board, we used to crucify Bomko for his 5+ ERA. I will always root for Timmy, but this "rough stretch" has gone on for three years. Unless he's pitching against the Padres, he is a mediocre pitcher at best.

I tend to agree with you, but you aren't the one making the decision, and you aren't the one paying him. Put yourself in that person's shoes.

"Yeah, I screwed up giving him 2/35, so now I'm gonna use him like I would someone I paid 2/8."

Not likely to happen.

I understand some want to keep believing in him because of his past but if you take 2008-'11, there isn't much reason to view him highly. It has been three years now, it's no longer a coincidence, bad luck, something he just can figure out. This is just who he is. The best move for this team is moving him to the pen and finding an upgrade there.

(this is all me just adding on, not saying you were all "ra-ra he can turn it around" Stokes)

I kinda get it for management and with the best record in baseball, they can just keep doing what they are doing. More so meant some of the fans argument of "Are you really going to pay a reliever 17M"

Sabes has made a lot of outstanding moves. Love him

Good to see the Giants up 4-2. Looks like there could be a bunch of runs today. Would love a sweep.

Well 6 innings by Lincecum 3 ER. Granderson is the only one to hurt him with those 2 HR's. A quality start from Tim . Good to see that he bounced back from the last outing.

I am looking forward to the Washington series coming up. Matt Williams in town for the first time as a manager.
