Clausen now becomes the second most experienced QB on the roster. That's something. I guess.
Can't wait to start hearing the choruses of "just think Palmer has a better understanding of the offense" crap. Notvsure why Clausne was signed. Who is he gonna push really?
I could see Clausen as the 3rd stringer and Fales on the Practice Squad.
I'm questioning why he was signed too. Unless there is an injury that we don't know about.
The problem with putting Fales on the Practice Squad is that any team can sign him to the active roster and the Bears lose him. For this reason I believe that he makes the full roster as the #3.
That would make me think that the battle might be between Palmer and Clausen for the #2. (unless Fales is that good in Camp/preseason- which is doubtful)
I'm thinking that the Clausen signing is just a "look see" for OTA's and possibly camp. He's coming off an injury and hasn't played in 2 or 3 years.
