I'm from Cali but Texas produces a lot of NFL level talent. The problem is that UT fans are always dicks for the most part. There are a couple of you that I like but the majority on here are assholes. Guess what? You're an all time great but you lack any class. Alabama, USC and Notre Dame all act like they have been there before. Longhorn fans need to learn integrity and how to be humble.

Jeffcoat was a complete surprise. Defensive award winner with NFL genes. I thought he would go in the 3rd. Fera will get picked up in free agency. However, criticizing us b/c our 2 year kicker didn't get drafted is lame.

We only had 3 real prospects: Jeffcoat (big surprise); Byndum (was a 6-7 round grade); and Mike Davis (horrible work ethic).

This is the bottom line. I don't disagree with my fellow Longhorns on why, but I think the biggest reason is that we just don't have the talent. I look back and for most of the time, we had good asst. coaches. They just took the blame. Example: After Diaz was fired, I really didn't see that defense get any better. Remember, that schedule got pretty easy from that point forward. OU is a game where anything can happen, and Baylor would have hung 100 points on us had it not been really cold. I can think of a lot of other pretty good asst. coaches over the years as well. At the end, the problem is LACK OF TALENT! Yes, things are going to change with Charlie Strong, but there has been so much damage, it's going to take some time.

To the poster that called most Longhorns "dicks." - I think every team has there "dicks" on this board. Please don't confuse guys on here just trying to get a rise out some other board members as "dicks." Most of the time it's all in fun. Also, It goes both ways. Maturity, alcohol, and by far, frustration with you own team plays a big part in some on the harsh comments. I would bet the vast majority of the guys on this board are pretty good guys in real life.

P.S. Yes we do have some really good running backs but they are going to need a offensive line to run behind. There's that problem I keep talking about again.

Personally I think criticizing anyone, a team, player or otherwise about where they got drafted is lame, but one of your own found the need to do so and then this happened to Texas. Seems like karma might have been a bitch yesterday.

Very sad in general for the B12 to only have 17 players drafted. Texas had a very young team last season; however figured they'd have at least a couple picked. Baylor had alot of Senior level talent, so them leading the B12 is of no surprise. OU had a young D but an older O. Very surprised Ikard, all Conf Center, didn't get picked.

Really sounds like he was thinking that really hard. These kids, and I call them that because they have not been in the real world yet, only take people for their face value and he apparently had been told this by someone close to him either in his agents office or NFL talent scouts that were pumping him up. Last I checked he had not taken to lying to anyone and still holds his christian values he has played the last 4 years with at Alabama. What you did came off as sounding very petty to me and that is why I commented like i did. Good luck to those who are from your team that got F/A signings.
