He was brought up in another thread awhile back.....

I said then and I still think teams will pass on him because of his height.

Still the best D-lineman in the draft.

because of his height I think he gets overlooked in the 1st. If he falls to the second I jump ALL OVER HIM

anyone else agree? Or disagree

You think he is there at pick #47? I was thinking he'd be gone by then, but Yeah I take him if he is there.

I can't see this guy there in round 2 when we pick.
I also think his lack of height helps him be as disruptive as he is. I can pass on a few batted down balls for the production he shows

No I don't see him being there.......

But I mean Like short Qbs they drop

If he is within grasp in the 2nd .... I make a move for him. Somehow some way.

The guy is a football player. Superstar or not ... yet to be seen.... but I don't think you can miss taking him anywhere in the second

His motor on every play is non stop .... I think guys around him will pick their pace up

That's a major reason I want him

These are the special cases when I am OK with trading up. When a guy fills a need, represents great value and is likely not to fall to your next pick; you move up if the deal is fair IF they like him as much as we are assuming. My gut still says late first round.

My gut says top 10 top 15 at best second round. ( Keep saying combine changes all things)

Just saying with our 1st pick I wouldn't ......

But if we could make it happen with our 2nd .... (trade up or not) I jump on it

and Pday has a point about his height maybe creating his advantage...... LOL hard to get low on a guy his height

Still I've seen shorter tackles come in the league and not fill that role..... Just a hunch on this guy. Whoever gets him won't regret it unless they draft him too high

I want safety as much as most and I'd draft Donald at 16/17 with a strong combine and take the Fla St safety in round two

much will change between now and then but it's hard to look past "football players" with a strong desire to excel

Yes in the 2nd. Tempting in the 1st round. I do not think he will be there in the 2nd. We need him to run a lackluster 40 time so he will still be there in the 2nd. I expect him to have a good 40 time though. He explodes off the los. Probably has the highest motor of any guys in draft.

we need his vertical jump to be flat out blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

without question the highest motor of any D-lineman in the draft.

reason I don't take him in the 1st .... heart goes along way .... but size means alot at the NFL level

I just dont take him in the 1st

If he hits the second like I said I'm all over him

but then again...if he's a difference maker then?
strong combine with his game tape and character sure looks 11-25 off the board to me.

1975...Maryland, under sized with a non stop motor with strong desire to excel became an NFL difference maker.

I still like safety but pending combine and interviews, Donald is right there for me

He is up there for me .....

This is me thinking he slips due to his height .... ( for example Brees went 2nd round it happens ALOT when it comes to what teams want as far as size go)
Wilson is another good example

Kinda boredom discussion.... Everything changes after the combine.... This is one of those right here if draft was tomorrow conversations to kill boredom

I'd like to have him in the 2nd, but I think Dix will be gone by the time we pick in the 1st round and if that's the case, we'll probably go DL at that point. Jerry could double up with DL in the first two rounds, but with Crawford coming back, I think Jerry would address another need in the 2nd

Two positions I have bitched about since I have been on a forum ... Center and safety ....

Pryor or Dix will be there for us in the first ...... I'm used to Jerry breaking my heart though.... Doubt he answer both my prayers in back to back years....

I can see us doubling up on D-line 1st and 2nd rounds

I do have a concern that the Bears will take donald at 14. I don't think he makes it out of the 1st round. If the Cowboys really want him they better take him. He is also the hard working type that Garret is trying to get on the roster. It looks like a good match to me. Like many on here have noticed: he has an insane motor and is very strong and physical for his size. He is obviously ready to start from day one and is not a project like Hagemin

LOL the more I look at it the more I question Water Football (Which I really like)

They have us having a hell of a draft.

Nix in the 1st
Pryor in the 2nd
Telvin Smith in the 3rd
Aaron Lynch (DE) in the 4th

Shit if we had that draft I'd jump for fucking joy
