I see threads for Sherman and Wilson, but what about this man-beast? He is one grown man I'd be afraid to hit with my car.

Terrence Knighton would stop your car.

Yup,,, sherm gets the highlights, and the talking heads going. Meanwhile Lynch goes out of his way not to talk, he lets his play do the talking.

Lynch is the offensive mvp, that big run was huge.

Liked how he shook hands after scoring against the 9ers & didn't pull a Sherman.

I like that Lynch doesn't talk.

He had a nice game and a great run. He continues to come up with big runs in very important games.

I have no idea who pot roast is. but A: Great nick name for a defensive lineman! and B: After facing and having success against SF and all their D brings to the table, pot roast is going to need a whole lot of help to stop the beast....

Thankfully the Broncos do have quite a bit of help around him as they have only allowed 1 100 yard rusher all year and are top 10 in both yards and yards per carry. They also since their last loss have not allowed anybody over 70 yards rushing and have faced some of the top rushing teams in that span.

I always thought Knighton was a good player at J-Ville.

He's been very good in Denver all year, but he has been particularly dominant the past two weeks. The CBC Sports article that I posted above suggests that the bye week seemed to really benefit him. Hopefully the extra week off now does the same.

I didn't realize that. I always thought of denver as a poor defense. So is it just the pass defense that was porous?

I dont think SF gave up a 100 yard rusher to anyone not named Marshawn Lynch this year either.

So it looks like we have another immovable object type of matchup as we do on the other side with denvers o vs seattles d.

EDIT: didnt matthews get 100 in the win in denver this year??? he the only one?

It's pretty hard to fathom how some here would suggest that the Donks Dline is even close to San Frans.

This is gonna be fun to watch. I am so much more comfortable with this game than SFs.

Matthews is the only one this season. In the other two games the Broncos played him he had 59 yards and 26 yards so I think that 100 yard game was more the exception than the norm for the defense. Plus I think not too long before that we lost 2 starters on the DL and were still adjusting to the new guys.

Now as for Denver's defense I think it has been blown out of proportion how good or bad they are. I wouldn't call them a good defense mostly because of injuries. 6 starters are out at this time on IR. Thankfully the Broncos have had good depth but it has taken some time to get some of the young guys caught up on defense. I also think some of the numbers have been inflated this year at least score wise in there have been about I would say half the games where they have been up by 20 going into the 4th quarter meaning they went into a prevent defense. Just look at the 2 playoff games as a great example. Through the first 3 quarters in both games the defense had surrendered 3 points total in 6 quarters. In both games they went into prevent defense and gave up 17 to San Diego and 13 to New England. My guess is if they stuck with what was going well they would be averaging only giving up 10 points a game here in the playoffs right now.

Now I will say our pass defense has definitely struggled quite a bit this year with so many guys coming in and out with injuries. Every starter in the secondary has at least missed 1 game with quite a few of them missing at least half the season. Champ being back seems to have really helped the secondary clean up some of the mistakes they were making earlier in the year so we shall see if that holds up.

I think quite a few Bronco fans are feeling the same way in at least for me I feel better about this game than I did against New England.

Now when it comes to Lynch he has raised his play in the playoffs so I will give him that but during the season he only had 3 games over a hundred yards and all 3 were against sub par run defenses. Again he has stepped up his game in the playoffs but if you look at his season suggesting that he will go for over 150 yards when 1) he hasn't done it all year and 2) is actually playing a defense tied with San Francisco against the run this season (p.s. Broncos have played 5 of the top 10 backs in the NFL this season in yards and 5 of the top 10 in yards per carry).

I'm fairly sure trying to convince Wedgie that this won't be a blowout is impossible. Save you breath

I would probably take Charles and perhaps Shady McCoy before Lynch
