All in one state. Who else has all that?

seen one. Heard them a handful of times.

Those pics do it no justice.

Wait a second......

What did it look like and did it sound like those assholes on Finding Bigfoot?

This topic fascinates me. Ive read all of Jeff Meldrum's stuff too.

Sounded like a monkey in the woods a few times. One time it was quite close and it rattled my ribcage (very deep) We actually casted a footprint around the area where we heard it. For the last 10 years or so when we go we look and listen for em. It isnt our primary goal when we go out. BUt we always do a call or something to see if we get responses.

Keep in mind I go deep in the woods a few times a month.

the one that was close Sounded like this

I'm on the edge of Free Range right now by choice, near the Comanche National Grassland, so I need to STFU. - I hate people. :noidea:

I can think of a lot of places that are much worse than where you are. Personally, I love that wide open country.

around the Comanche National Grasslands.

Plum Canyon, just east of Pinon Canyon.

Texas isn't really near the top of anything for beautiful landscape but it's got a lot of variety. To be honest, it's so damn big I haven't been everywhere. To be fair a lot of it is flat and boring too.

Oregon is weird too. Many just think of the coastal range, mountains, or the rain forest. But Eastern Oregon is actually high desert country.

Then Central Oregon has Pine Trees and ranches everywhere.

Yeah we can't get in a pissing contest with Oregon beauty. We all will lose. Have not been there but have been to Washington a couple times. Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainer. Very pretty country. Victory, Canada was the most beautiful place i have been to in North America.

Tennessee is some really beautiful country. I have never been to Oregon or Texas.

Those are some great pics you posted, Hook'Em. :suds:

The most awesome thing I've ever seen is the Hoover Dam. Pictures do not do it any justice at all. Man, that sucker is huge! And they built it a very long time ago. Wow.

Awesome. I go into the Wet Mountains here in August every year, smoke a few bowls and spend some time just me and my dog and whatever wanders by.

I had a buddy who was from Bend, Oregon in the high desert. He seemed to think Portland was the mecca for some reason. I think I would prefer Eugene or Medford personally. But I don't do cities that size very well.

I spend way too much time in cities due to work. When I have time off I seek out the absolute middle of nowhere, preferably with no cell phone service at minimum. It can be a bitch trying to out run Verizon too.

It has its upsides, like women who are just happy to see something different roll through. - Shit! The women are fun here. That thought made me want to go out tonight. :suds:

this would be east of where fred is, if he's in Colo Spgs proper.

That is just to the Southeast of me right now. At the moment I am in a hole in the wall called La Junta, Co. about 70 miles east of Pueblo.

Colorado is an insanely scenic state in spots. However, they too have a bunch of flat boring country. Pretty much the entire eastern side looks just like western Kansas.

Just like Kansas, if you want to experience Eastern Co. the right way just hit a hundred mile long dirt road and go for a drive.
