Any chance we could be seeing a new coach at GTech soon? About time to notch up running a high school offense a fail.

Unlikely. We don't have a ton of money like the big state schools do. We probably could not afford his buyout and the salary to replace him with someone better. Also, if he can pull off an 8-4 regular season at GT that's considered accepable. We don't have any real illusions of being in the National Championship hunt unless major luck happens.

Whats Mark Richts contract situation? I could see a scenario where he gets fired with Murray leaving and the building process starting over again at UGA, it might start without him. A lot of their fans don't like him anyway.

Holgorsen is not going anywhere THIS year, he gets this year for sure then it gets debatable for either '14 or '15 before a decision is made. His leash got a lot longer today with Luck staying put.

muschamp has saved richts job....

:L

- There is zero buzz about Richt being gone ... he is a beloved coach who has delivered everything except a NC. The small minority, not a lot, of malcontents don't influence the ones who make the decisions.

- I can see our DC getting a deal to leave. Grantham simply hasn't done the job he is paid to do.

- Building process? Evidently you don't follow the Dawgs ... we return almost everyone on offense except Murray, and we have a 5th year senior QB who probably would have started on half the SEC teams. Our O will be fine. On the D, we are really young this year, starting 4 true freshman. They are rebuilding now ... they will have a year under their belts next year. Our schedule is much more favorable next year, and we likely won't have the rash of injuries we had this year. Don't expect a step back for the Dawgs.

Richt will be fine for many more years, and I am very ok with that.

I'd guess Pelini. I doubt that they get past Michigan State in a couple weeks. And I think he has to make it back to the B1GCG, and win it/keep it competitive to be worthy of saving his job. Otherwise, their program hasn't really taken a step forward.

I think Bielema should maybe feel a bit of a hot seat. He left here(UW) for Arky to win a championship. I question whether 2B's is a program builder. Here at Wisconsin, Barry Alvarez built the infrastructure for success. Biels essentially was Alvarez 2.0, he didn't do a whole lot change the program. I just think he's going to realize building a program is a whole lot different than coming into a program that's already experiencing success. Arkansas may realize he's not the guy to build their program, as well.

If Mack really did hear about the new Texas AD hire from twitter, then he's a dead man walking.
But I think we all knew that already

Unfortunately, I don't think Muschamp gets fired this year. He'll get another season to change things around.

I think a lot of it will come down to the Vandy game.

UF is currently 4-4. The only complete guarantee is vs 1AA Ga Southern.
It is very likely UF will lose to South Carolina and FSU. So if they also lose to
Vandy, they will finish the season 5-7 and be not bowl eligible for the first time in a loooong time.

I don't think Muschamp would be able to weather that storm.

Paul Johnson

Hell, maybe he even should be fired. But it's not like GT has a big stash of money to replace him with. We also have lower expectations than the UFs and Texases of the world.

At GT, a coach that consistently has 8-4 to 9-3 seasons has job security almost for life.

What about Michigan's coach?

I don't think that's a possibility this year. Even if we lost the next 4 games, I suspect Hoke would still get another season.

Didn't we see some threads earlier this year that Hoke was one of the top 10 coaches in the game? I am pretty sure we did.

5th year senior or not, UGA wil not be replacing a player like Murray and not need some time to get back to the level they were at the beginning of this year. I wouldn't be shocked to see Texas make a move for him.

Hopefully Paul Rhoads. ISU has a really bleak future and things won't get better anytime soon, especially under his watch.

This is good logic and the game today, with the Miami debacle, was the worst POS I've seen since my 1986 freshman year.

The only thing Muschamp has going for him is that alums are tired of all the changes. As I was saying in the UF game thread, our AD Foley needs to go first. He is a dumbass and Spurrier would still be our coach if not for his stupidity. We don't need to let THIS AD fire and hire anyone else. Enough.
