:L Fellow Bama fans.....We just need to stop posting in threads all together, if we post about anything we are "getting work up", "mad", or "our jimmies are rustled".

Not allowed to fucking say anything. The dumbass boxedlunch dickhead started calling people hypocrites because his fat ass thinks he's knows a fanbase based off his message board experience, we respond and there you go. :gaah:

There is a slight knock on Alabama.

Alabama never had the elite all time rival every year like the other choices.

Ohio State/Michigan and Notre Dame/USC always play each other.

And, you could argue that maybe Nebraska or Texas belong in the discussion as well.
Oklahoma played BOTH of THEM every year.

Alabama never had a historic elite superpower to tack on losses like the other choices.
Tennessee, Georgia, LSU, and others are historically just miss programs....almost there....

I'd put Notre Dame #1.

According to the NCAA, they have more titles than Alabama, even though Alabama claims more. It was pointed out earlier by someone else that people get dazzled by the claimed titles, and they are right.

Not that "titles" means squat to me in all-time ratings. "Titles" are very subjective and iffy in a lot of respect, but I bring that up because people think Alabama has more titles because they claim more.

So, Notre Dame has more wins all-time, a higher winning percentage, played tougher teams, has more titles, beat way more top 10 teams and beat more ranked teams. If it comes down to those two programs, I don't see how you can not choose Notre Dame. Alabama is gaining quickly, though.

Can we be friends?

I dont really get the argument. The answer is always ND and I can not stand ND. ND football has its own rules. Team could go 2-10 and still be on sportscenter and get a night game on Saturday. When the BCS or a playoff system installs the "Oklahoma or Bama rules" than I will revisit my position, but until then it is a silly argument. There is no bigger name in CFB than ND.

And when you go to CFBDW site everything Noel is involved with is linked from the site, but he is not involved with the site...right. This even includes touting his book and the other websites noel is involved with.

Everything? Have you clicked those links lately? Have you looked at Tex's stuff in a while? He got his stuff on other sites.

Basically, Tex have Dellassus a bunch of his information and Dellassus put "copywrite Tex Noel" on the site and put some of his stuff there which has been stagnant for about a decade. If you look in the site's credits you'll see how Dellassus talks about Tex Noel as an outside entity. Tex himself tells me he has nothing to do with this site. But you saw it on wikipedia, so you know.

It was infered earlier that anybody picking Notre Dame must be a Notre Dame fan and therefore can't be objective. I think it says that on wikipedia somewhere.

I called Alabama hypocrites because they change their tune when the scoreboard changed. I stand by that. Got 12?

Partially subjective based on which of these categories you give the most weight. All are great programs but I would say 'Bama looks the most impressive based number of NCs, Bowl Record and having the fewest .500/losing seasons.

I got to give credit to the Sooners as distasteful as it sounds.

They had to play NEBRASKA every year in conference....then they played TEXAS out of conference

That is two teams that both sit in the top 5 of all time wins.

Nobody has the elite level rivals that OU had historically.

The Sooner might have more than 7 titles if they could have skipped NU or UT once in a while.

if OU counted titles awarded by whomever as some teams do, they could claim 17 or so....

My goodness, the Alabama fan base is not looking good here.

Earlier a guy said "I've don't know of any connection...", now I get "I dont' think I've ever heard". Apparently, in their minds, if they don't know about it, it can't possible exist. Or something. Please.

Got 12? Here's how Alabama bumped up its claim to a dozen national titles | al.com

And Nebraska would likely have more than 5 if it weren't for 'Sooner Magic'..... those bastards.

yep. St Tom couldn't win one until Barry was gone, LOL!~

There is a video on youtube that shows his reaction to the 1979 Orange Bowl announcement of the NU v OU rematch in the bowl game, which OU dominated. I gotta say it is priceless and I wish I could find the link to it.

I did not watch the sun rise does not = I'm denying it's there. As far as titles take off 1941 add 1966 is what most Bama fans would tell you. But I would love to wear a shirt that had "Got 3 in a row?":hope:

While I understand that I could take that from your post, the question arises, why did you bother to tell us what you don't know? Was I wrong to assume there was a point?

Again, I have no issues with the titles Alabama claimed, including 1941. All had solid historical basis. I do have issues with them claiming non-wire service titles for years and emphasising that then all of a sudden changing their methods mid-stream because they got more wire service titles. It's hypocritical.
