LA has generally controlled the play but Tampa has been terrific in transition, a pair of breakaways and eventually on a rush by Purcell they get a 2-0 lead. Voynov didn't do well in tying up Purcell's stick

The Kings need to start hitting everything wearing blue. The Lightning are skating circles around the Kings and our guys need to slow them up. On top of that the Kings power play looks like Jamie Kompon is still the coach. Pass, pass, pass, get it back to the point and get the shot blocked or shoot it wide.

My opinion is that it was a bad call to disallow the goal but in fairness to the ref all he saw from his angle was Richards colliding with the goaltender and not now how he got there. Should have gotten better help from his linesmen and the other ref. Play most likely isn't a reviewable one. Bad luck for the Kings. They just have to overcome the bad call and play Kings hockey.

OK. On to Nashville. Looks to me like the Kings are flat out flustered by Tampa Bay's speed. They can't keep up and refuse to take the body to try and slow them up. No way I see any kind of comeback in this game even with the goaltender change. Although surely the team must realize it's their fault that Quick was pulled. I don't see any change in the style of play. What on earth gave them the idea they could skate with the Lightning?

I wonder what FSW would call the "Big Hit of the Game". My guess is Richards' hit on Bishop that caused the goal by Carter to be disallowed. That was pretty much the only time I saw anybody in a white sweater hit anyone wearing blue.

Ouch, horrible game.

The whole team played like ass in front of Quick, but to be honest from my POV the team just seemed "off" in general. They didn't look sharp at all and made some horrible defensive miscues we don't normally see.

Tampa Bay looked good & fast, and I don't think the Kings were ready for that. East is more open, and the west is slow and grinding.
