A man was stabbed to death after a fight broke out near San Francisco's AT&T Park, where the Giants were playing the Los Angeles Dodgers, authorities said.

Police were releasing few details about the stabbing other than to say it occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at Third and Harrison streets during a confrontation between two groups of men. Police have detained three people in the area and are interviewing witnesses, but have not made any arrests, Sgt. Danielle Newman said.
She said police were not disclosing additional information, including whether the fight involved rival fans. Giants' spokeswoman Staci Slaughter said she did not have additional information about the incident, but wanted to emphasize that the stabbing took place several blocks away from the stadium.

Rumor has it that it was a Dodger fan that did it. He just had to end the poor mans stupidity, as he kept yelling "Dodgers suck", and, the poor Dodger fan tried and tried to get the misguided soul to understand the purpose and workings of the yearly standings. It will likely then be judged a mercy killing......

The poor guy probably refused to acknowledge that the Giants were a "dynasty."

You were the only one to pick up on that post Hammer. And, you can probably tell, my part was written from past experiences.

I certainly hope not.

As a moderator, he has the power to make changes as he sees necessary, as do I. However, I did not see the orig post myself, so, I will have to defer to Capt that he is doing the right thing here. If not, we also have to answer for things to Hammer, so.....?

Yeah PLEASE tell me what i said SO offensive that he could just go in and change it......i guess some people have too much power on here or sumthin

I posted....since the yankees were in the title of this thread.....

Im mad the yankees didnt make the playoffs....the tigers have handled them lately......the tigers struggle in boston....well maybe the injuns end up beating them and the tigers can continue to dominate them...

Something like that.....and then he just goes in and changes it? Sounds like someone abusing power....

I recall Hammer & myself inviting non-Tigers fans from your thread to post here since you made your own thread so acrimonious

"Why do Dodgers fans have to be so violent?" - Giants fans outside At&T after fatal stabbing

This story is also on the Niners board. I chimed in there, and said the only good, and it is not good, that came of this was to show the rest of the sporting world that Dodger fans are not always the perpitrator, but can also be the victim.

And, my comment comes from personal experience, but one that a lot of people i'm sure have run across. That being, (usually drunk) fan A says to fab of team B that their team sucks, even when team A is in last, and team B is in first.

Logic people. Use it. It does a body good......

Ty hammer...i truly didnt say anything offensive nor was i trolling..

There are very few rules in this forum. How can there be when guys like Uno and Sake were hanging out here? Pretty much anyone can say anything so for a mod to edit posts to make someone look bad is about the lowest of the low. All you guys from over there are welcome here.

With that much cutting, I wonder if this guy will ever be the same?

Brandon Beachy, who was shut down two weeks ago after coming back from Tommy John elbow surgery, underwent another elbow surgery today.
However, [ame=""]according to Mark Bowman[/ame] of MLB.com it was an arthroscopic surgery that “cleaned some debris” and Beachy is expected to be ready for spring training.
Beachy was leading the National League in ERA last season when was he shut down in June. He had surgery on June 21 and then rejoined the Braves’ rotation 13 months later, making five starts with a 4.50 ERA and 23/4 K/BB ratio in 30 innings before being shut down again.
