You can tell he was locked in better this time around and his bat speed is ridiculous.

The talent is undoubtedly there. When it was reported a couple weeks ago that he was starting to dip again I said he'd suddenly start getting better. I'm not surprised.

And don't forget about Profar. Just heard he's only played 3 out of the last 11 games.

JD goof'd by calling him up to be the utility guy. Garcia can handle that fine and profars development isn't helped by playing twice a week. We all said that.

Agreed. Tho I am guessing this is a time you can play him more and stick him in that lineup a lot more games now that we know Lance isn't coming back and Nelly likely will be gone for a while.

I agree... what we are doing to him right now is really hurting him more than helping.

Call me crazy but it seems like its because he is dipping again. He should seriously get a job as a spokesman for a chewing tobacco company. It's like his Popeye's spinach... without it, he is a replacement level player.... with it, he is one of the best hitters in the game.

Crazy isn't it. He is so mental.

Guys, if we lose Cruz for 50 games we're done. Period.

Any news on suspensions? What's the plan if Cruz goes? Soto catches more, AJ DH more
platoon Murphy with Baker....what about RF? Engel/Gentry platoon? I might be the only one, but I think Gentry would be better offensively with more playing time.
Am I missing any bats?

Could I ask anymore questions?
Will know tomorrow probably for Cruz and I doubt it will be good, Lainey. Still think we will try to pick up someone on the waiver wire. Murphy is making it obvious. He's not holding up his end.

Don't like the chances but you never know. If they can take advantage of the August schedule and grab a bat through the waiver wire then anything is possible. The pitching is still there.

I'm sure you though the a's were done when they lost colon

Not the same. The a's were loaded with young pitching. We're as thin as it gets in hitters.

As much as I hate to admit it... Hamilton killed us this series. If it wasn't for him... none of the games would have even got interesting.

Meh, he is Hamilton, the potential is always there. I myself don't think it's a CRIME to acknowledge his obvious talents...and his .225 average. Ha.

like I keep saying, we got his best years, I'm not mad, I wouldn't boo him... kinda hard to forget the Yankee playoff, he killed for us, and he did try to win us a WS.
Most people will move on eventually, I think it's just tougher because he's playing for a rival.

There's no bigger Cardinal fan than my father, he was pretty upset that Puljos left, but he was also a little upset when he found out that he was hurt.
Hamilton isn't close to the player that Puljos has been, point is, I think I'm like my Dad, I prefer to remember the good times.
What's done is done.

Thanks Darryl, I think JD is almost forced to, (only 4 games out) and yes about Murphy

Not to mention. Hamilton would of been a hero if we were able to close it out again
