Clay Buchholz (neck, shoulder) was told by Dr. James Andrews on Monday that he doesn't have any structural damage and is merely dealing with inflammation.
Good news for the Red Sox, as it confirms the initial diagnosis. Meanwhile, Buchholz finally has some peace of mind and will resume throwing as long as he can tolerate the discomfort. He won't be back until August at this point, but he could provide a big boost to the Red Sox down the stretch.

That could be good though, if this trip turns into what most of their WC trips have in the past, they're out of the division race, and at least I'll have an excuse not to watch the disaster unfolding.

and last nights game almost killed me

Oh, and 2006 #2 overall pick Greg Reynolds is slated to start the first game of a DH tomorrow for the Reds against the Giants.

He's had a good season so far at AAA, and he obviously has or at least at one time had some talent, so I'm interested to see what he has.
