while I like your enthusiasm, that's a pretty bold statement.

maybe so .... maybe not. Ware's career isn't over.

I'd be interested in which outside linebackers you have rated over him. ( Now I will give you D Thomas, one of my all time favs.... died way too early)

well, that's a little more specific. As an OLB, I'd probably agree with you, but when you just say LBer, I assumed you meant ALL LB's.

Is that why we've done so well the past 16 years? You don't sound very confident when you say I THINK Ware has desire, heart, etc,. Can you name me a game over the past 3 years where Ware made such an impact in a big game that made a difference in winning? I know he is 0 for nothing in big games that mattered to winning the division and going to the playoffs the past few years. If we ever made the NFC Championship or Super bowl I'm sure he would call in sick and check into a Holiday Inn Express for 60 minutes.

You ask if I thought Ware had the Heart, Desire etc, so I answered Yes I do think he has the Heart, desire etc. Now can you show me where any Dallas player over the last three years had an impact where the game mattered? This team has a major issue. It hasn't found out how to play as a team.

for sure. I immediately thought Butkus, Nitchke, Singletary, Ham, Lambert, Seau, Bednarik.

I just cant put Nitchke in there .... mean basterd ... until it came to facing Jim Brown ... Then mean went to fear...

Ranking great players over the years is difficult and every will have great players slipping past #10. That should not be a knock on the sub 10 guy but a testament to the men on the top of the list.

I agree.... Think a name left off that list was Ray Lewis...... top 5 and possibly top 2 depending on whose list you judge

I hope Ware does make the HOF, twist. Imo opinion he is not. And I've seen the same greatness in other players in the past and those that you have mentioned. Now you fellow Cowboy fans can't have it both ways here, lol. I think it was manster last week telling me I had to get a better grip on the way the game is played today vs. the 1970's. O.k., lets say he is right, and he is for the most part. But then again, I go back and I now see how more incredible Lilly, White, Jones, the purple people eaters and the Steel curtain really were. To get all those sacks and pressures in a run dominated league back then, only throwing the ball 24 times a game, is now more incredible to me. If Bob Lilly, Randy White, Reggie White, Deacon Jones, Alan Page, Mean Joe Greene and all those past legends played in a league like today where they are throwing the ball between 50 nd 60 times a game, would shadder anything whimp Ware ends up with in his career.

Dude I don't know why you hate Ware so much ... but if he retired today ... he is a 1st Ballad HOFer....

He has more left..... unless he did something dumb like getting caught on steroids... or a DUI manslaughter..... no chance he isn't 1st ballad HOF.
Only ONE MAN ever ... had more sacks than him in his career (at this stage of his career).... That's 1st ballad all the way

Wait a second twist. Did you read and understand my thread? Ware should have more sacks is what I am saying. After all, he gets 30-40 times more times to rush the qb a game in today's game vs. back in the 70's. Its too bad. Ware will most likely end up with the most sacks of any player in Cowboy history. However he will never be considered elite with all of our other greats because he will never get a ring, or play in a Super Bowl or NFC Championship game. Been waiting quite a few years now to add another plaque or 2 to my blue room which consist of 157 plaques already. Was hoping to add a Witten and Ware someday. Looks like it won't happen unless we get extremely lucky or shitty.

100% disagree

70s game not only is he a DE.... He's a good sized one.

Check Deacon Jone's size

As far as elite goes.... You are the only person ... of ANY team fan base I have ever seen that doesn't consider Ware Elite

This debate you keep having about Ware... not one you will win vs me or anyone else... You're in your own world on that one

I love old school as much as the next old guy BUT the game was different then when the center went 245 and the guards 265 and tackles 270/275

Would you rather I lie to a fellow Cowboy fan about my true feelings about the team or just go along with everyone all the time on every issue?

Ware is in the backfield on every single play. He's elite. Based on the criticism I've heard, your problem really seems to be with the defensive schemes, not the player himself. "He can't stop the run!". He's a pass rusher, he's not supposed to stop the run. Is he a 1 trick pony? Maybe, but it's fucking great trick.

Just like one man can't do it on offense alone (Romo). One dude on defense can't do it alone (Ware). Football is the ultimate team sport. The most talented team doesn't always win in this game. It's the team that's firing at all cylinders and playing most like a team. Ware has had seasons when he gets 20 sacks while the team total is in the low 40's. not even counting pressures. Ware has his faults and weakness like all players. This is not a dart at either of you but this is the kind rants that i'm used to seeing being attached to WFRYE.

If I could have one player on the Eagles over the last 6 years it would be Ware (Not including QBs). He is probably the BEST pure rusher in the NFL. He did look like he might be slipping a little last year but he was injured. THere is a reason when lists are made of the top 100 players and D Ware is ALWAYS on the top 10.

You don't have to lie to us, and yes you can have your own opinion, but I for one can 110% disagree with you.
