A few things you can do on this board - you can post images from websites, attach images from your computer, post videos that can be directly seen on the thread page (more on that below), you can private message each other where when you receive a message it'll let you know (unlike ESPN where it's in the background, you can see 10 to 80 posts per page (however you like it), and you can report posts that are abusive. This also is connected to a bigger board where posters from other boards can comment here. Trolls will be banned.

To post a youtube video: Click on "Go Andvanced" under the text box, click on the youtube icon on the left above the text box, type in the numbers after the "=" sign and before the "&" sign. For example, "http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=JU28nC5ubM8", just take the "JU28nC5ubM8", to make:

I have also set a few thread starters, those that are mainly ones we will have all year. One is for the video highlights, like I have above. Having them here will save time for you guys and will have quick access for later if we want to see or relive some memory again. Articles on the Jazz are sometimes easy to find, but if we can get some on the Articles thread, we'll have more to share. The prediction thread is just for fun and will be continued throughout the year, with what we're predicting changing, of course. I might add a statistical thread for those who are stat-minded, depending on who we get to migrate over.

Join, invite people, post often. I think this board is a lot more user friendly, has more to offer. Come back every so often to see who else has joined. It might take awhile, but I hope this to be a great place by the Season Opener.

Multi-quotes. If you want to include two people's posts, first press the "Multi-Q" of the first post and "Quote" of the second. Press the multiQ for all but the last quote you are citing.

When making a link to an article or video, you can just paste it, and it will show up with whatever properties it has (a yahoo article will post the title of the article as opposed to the html address). Or you can write your own title, highlight it, and press the world-sign above, enter the address. Or you can just press the world sign, paste the website, and change the title after the "] but before the [/url].

2nd and 3rd option: Utah Jazz Official Website

Some, if not most, are already familiar with this or would figure it out anyway, but thought it's better to explain than leave be.

There's a 10 minute limit in where you can edit your post. If you need to edit it after that, you need to talk to a mod or administrator. I don't get bugged by minor things, but some mods might. I don't know if this can be changed or not or if this is a Sports SportsHoopla thing. I think it created trouble when people would go back in an argument to change what they said or when making predictions.

Yes, it varies by board.

I've seen other vBulletin boards with no time limits for editing. But if you edit, then it displays the timestamp of the last edit.

I would love it because the more people we have the more good conversation. I'm sure we'll get some of the bad, but overall, it's good. I still think this is the best forum with the YouTube and ease of posting links, etc.; we just need people.

Question: Have you ever danced on center court?

anonymoussource has. (He won some dance-off competition during one of the timeouts, and as his prize, he won tickets to a Jazz @ Lakers game, flight and hotel included. The game wasn't very good, but overall he and his wife had a fun weekend.)

It was possibly the best trip ever! We attended the shootaround with the players and hung out at the Lakers facilities. My favorite part, though, was having dinner with the coaches in a low-key setting for a lot of conversation. It was about a week before the DWill/Sloan incident which subsequently led to Sloan walking away...which in a way made it more special. We sat in the Sprite suite at Staples Center is a world different than the one in ESA..so nice!

...and yes, the Jazz got SMOKED by the Lakers that night.

Well, if AnnonymousSource is here (no pressure, man), I'll start posting more. I kind of got a bit off-seasoned.

AS, if you have any questions about how to use this board, ask us here. The ONLY troublesome things I've found here is it takes awhile before personal messages are allowed - but unlike the ESPN Board, it notifies you when you sign on. I've had mail in ESPN go for weeks or months because I never checked.

We just need Jay, cjets, and Blue here. I'm sure Nuraman has a list of people he remembers in his computer database (head). He's old fashioned. Some robots keep they databases now in the elbows or knee caps, but he feels that just makes it vulnerable if one is amputated. However, if someone decapitates a robot, they are basically out.
