I'm still waiting for the Flags to be thrown.

At what point does Stern jump and and say this is not in the best interest the League?

I'm still in shock re this.

I love the deal though.

Pretty nice for the Warriors to land someone, I feel they overpaid a bit but that's part of what happens for a team that isn't in a major market nor in a state with no income taxes. I hope this works out better for us than when we landed Corey Maggette.

I think the club looks good right at the moment with no other changes but I'd love the Warriors to land D12 and was saying we should have made the move for him before the trade deadline last season as well.

Kings were willing to go 4 years $56 mi total, I see it as a discount for us to only play 48 mil total

The Kings are terrible and must offer over market value to have a chance at anyone they didn't have to give away a nice player in Rush nor draft picks to get him in the fold either Lee. Also Sac pulled that offer back so it's not like AI picked us over the higher value offer he picked us after they didn't give him as much as he wanted.

There is ZERO comparison between Iguodala and Maggot. Iggy is a dedicated 2-way player and is willing to play team basketball in order to have his team win.

Maggot could not understand the meaning of the word team and never met a shot he didn't like. The only time that fool ever let go of the ball was to chuck it toward the rim.

The Dubs might have overpaid for Iggy, but the overpay is in the order of a few million over the life of the deal. Maggot's entire contract was an overpay.

If any of you long-timers have forgotten, I really don't like Corey Maggot as a basketball player. Never have. Never will. I'll give him this: he was a generous person in real life. But once he donned the Dubs' uni and stepped onto the court, there are very few people I ever disliked more.

With this move I believe Klay or Barnes will be on the move, after all Dwight is still a possibility.

I never wanted Corey Maggette either Cam, it felt like Mully just felt the need to get someone after Baron left and we missed on Brand that summer.

One of the long list of bad moves during the Cohan era, new ownership doesn't have that bad track record I just hope we don't regret signing a guy to this contract when he's turning 30 this season.

The club looks set to win now with Curry, Klay, AI, Lee and Bogut with HB on the bench though that honestly might be the best starting five I've seen since I started watching the Warriors as a kid. Warroirs have a little cap room now maybe they can get a decent PG I had read Darren Collison's name and wouldn't mind him being on the club.

Maggette was vastly overrated coming out of Duke, as many of their players are. They are a system school that has very few athletes who can create their own shot. Even Sprewell was much better at this than Maggz.

Iggy is a totally different player - his addition alone makes the Dubbs that much better defensively on the wings. Now if D12 were to anchor the middle...:omg:

This deal just keeps getting worst by the minute.

Dubs gave up multiple first's and second round picks in the salary dump?

What's next the give up 2 Warrior Girls to be named later to the Mormon Village across the way?

We are getting fleeced

There's another move coming, I don't think this ends here, highly doubt Klay or Barnes will be coming from the bench.

Golden State will send first-round picks in 2014 and 2017 to the Jazz, league sources tell Y! Sports.

I think you're overreacting just a bit. If the Dubs play up to expectations, those first-round picks are going to be very late picks. And we've all seen that Lacob and co are not afraid to buy their way into a draft. So they "officially" give up two firsts from the Jazz and for a few million bucks, they could easily buy picks in the same general area in both of those drafts.

Beans and Jefferson were a drain on the payroll and although I liked Rush, he is expendable.

Relax. This will be a good deal for the Dubs.

ASSuming that the Dwight saga ends in our favor, the Dubs' roster would look like this:

C: Dwight/Ezeli
PF: Lee/Green
SF: Barnes/
SG: Iguodala/Nedovic/Bazemore
PG: Curry/

They obviously need a backup point and a backup SF.

If they get Dwight I think they'll trade Barnes, really doesn't make a lot of sense to have Iggy and Barnes with Dwight, if they get Dwight they'll need shooters.

Iguodala is a shooting guard. So is Klay. Barnes is a SF. Unless you think they should play one of those two out of position, trading Klay is the best option IMO.

Iguodala played a lot of times as a SF with the Sixers

But he stopped playing SF because he's not quick enough to cover the new prototypical 3. Harrison Barnes has played the 4 for the Dubs, does that make him a PF? No.

Helps explain the urgency of dumping Lee on someone 'eh?

Not sure what to make of this deal. Love Iggy and the defense and leadership he will bring. Hard to believe this is the only significant offseason move.

BTW: every few minutes I find myself thinking, "WE GOT IGGY FOR BEANS, JEFFERSON, A GUY COMING OFF A MAJOR INJURY AND SOME FUTURE PICKS? NICE!"

Kawakami is such a fucking tool.

If the Warriors don't make a deal for Howard, they will have 4 players making $49.9 million.

Bogut: $14.2
Lee: $13.9
Iguodala: $12
Curry: $9.8

What's another $4 mil among friends?
