I like Hartenstein, but worrying about him being eligible for all defense seems inconsequential to me.

I get that but the bigger point here is how can you possibly play 75 or all 82 games and not be eligible for any awards? That just doesn't sound fair

Obviously the intent is to make sure guys don’t screw the system by playing a few minutes then sitting down. Technicalities are going to cost someone when you have to mandate things that never should have needed it in the first place. I find it hard to believe a serious case could be made for a guy that didn’t play that many minutes anyway.

I agree....maybe MIP but that's likely all but in weird cases in that screw someone over

Let's use the Knicks for a hypothetical example though. Say Mitch Rob started the season at center then got hurt for the season in game 23. In those 2 games he started, Hartenstein only avg 16 MPG but in the remaining 59 he got 30 MPG and played well enough to be considered for MIP or the all defensive team, how is this silly minute restriction fair?

Yeah I just don’t worry about stuff like that. Anytime a union is involved someone is getting carried and someone is getting screwed. And like everything the actions of a few affect them all.

Anyone watch the carton that Craig carton show? Well I was listening to it today and he said he sees the Knicks in the finals. I like his thinking. What do you guys think?

Should you be considered for an award if you playing 15 minutes a game?

Maybe most improved if you start there, but that is about it.

I remember one of the Lakers broadcasters questioning the clock being reset to 2:20, but didn't say anything more about it.
Reminds me of the college football game where they game the team 5 downs lol

Denver injury report suggest they might be conceding the top 2 seeds or at least thinking about it

Entire starting lineup is questionable

I felt like they conceded it when they failed to close out the Spurs, especially not even getting the ball inbounds when they had a timeout. If that’s the case Minny will get the 1.

Obviously Curry and LeBron are still really good. But....

I mean---- I have seen LeBron have a lot worse teams and get a 1 seed.....now obviously he is not anywhere near what he is--- but his numbers show he is still "great"....is he? Is Curry still great? 10 seed?

Are they top 25 guys? Do they impact winning that much at this point? Maybe- but the records paint another story. It is certainly not like the NBA is loaded with tons of great teams right now.....there is as much parity as I can ever remember....there is only 1 team (Boston) that I think really even compares to some past very good teams.
