I’m never watching the 16 vs 16 play first 4 game in my life lol.

Me personally I’ll watch nba over March madness until the 2nd half of games. Definitely will be watching a ton of pels/magic and Knicks/Nuggets tomorrow night

Dolphins trying to have a roster full of the same type of receivers don’t make sense to me. Mike Thomas would be who I target if I’m them

Mike Thomas needs to stay healthy. Still a solid especially as a #3 but bigger than that, it needs to be a wr different than waddle and hill which was my main point. A big physical dude.

Not another small one

All of that is a wishlist. You need a competent pro before you can talk style and stuff. Thomas is a reach. You say he needs to stay healthy. Dude can’t stay healthy. Not likely he’s gonna get healthy and stay healthy now that he’s older. He’s a no take for me.

Illegal in California. Were the bets from Cali or overseas?

The story is that his interpreter is the bettor, not Ohtani. Is that true or cover-up? Too early to say.

So far, the story is that Ohtani knew nothing about it and was a victim. They said that Ippei Mizuhara (the interpreter) stole $4.5 million from him to cover gambling debts. The interpreter at first said that Ohtani was really mad, but agreed to cover his debt for him if he stopped gambling...but now he says Ohtani didn't know about any of it and that he stole the money.

Saw part of an interview with an interpreter and Ohtani not knowing seems plausible because interpreters get access to a lot of a players sensitive information because they help them set up bank accounts, buy houses and cars, etc.

On the other hand, it's being said that Ohtani and Mizuhara had become close friends, so Mizuharas original story about Ohtani agreeing to cover his debt seems plausible as well.

Andrew Friedman said that the Dodgers got word that something was happening and brought in Ohtani and Mizuhara. Apparently, Mizuhara "immediately apologized" and said he has a gambling addiction. Friedman said that Ohtani doesn't understand much English and really wasn't able to fully understand what had happened, but he understood enough that he started asking questions. They got a 2nd interpreter for Ohtani who explained it to him and that's when Ohtani realized the money was missing from his account.

Apparently, MLB isn't investigating it but is "monitoring" the situation. They're apparently waiting to see what becomes of the criminal investigation first.

I thought it was two 500K transfers, but his total debts were $4.5M?
