I thought we were talking about why he was persecuted. You implied it was because of something he said. I was saying that it was probably because he was a failure as a football coach. He’s a perfect example of the Peter Principle with NFL coaches. You find out where you belong by failing. You knew he belonged as a DC because he was a failure as a head coach.

Doesn't sound like LJ is expected to practice - and the reports have been that his knee still doesn't feel right. Even if he decides to give it a go, and practices - it would be limited at best - which means he won't have had a full week of practice since the week leading up to his injury on Dec 4th (IIRC). That's 5 weeks without a full practice. Then add in any potential limited mobility (which, if we are all being honest is a HUGE part of his game) - do you really risk it? BMores defense can be good enough - if you put a healthy QB back there - you likely give yourself a much better shot (IMO).

Tua should not play again this year. Period. Not just because of the amount of hits to the head/concussions, but because of how severe he reacted to #2. NFL is going to have to impose some kind of concussion protocol where if you get one, you miss minimum 2 weeks, you get 2, you miss 6 weeks, if you get a 3rd one, you are out the season - I know that likely won't be popular - but at some point there has to be something in place to protect the teams/players from themselves. Will that likely ever happen - no, I doubt it - but not sure what else you could do....players, in the midst of their careers, don't care about 5-10-15 years later - someone has to.

I totally agree with implementing some type of concussion protocol along those lines. Maybe tweek the numbers a little or whatever but save these guys from themselves. The one problem with that is that they can't seem to find honest or capable people to diagnose it. Case in point, Tua's first one vs. Buffalo ended up officially diagnosed as a "back/ neck" injury which for anyone with half a brain is laughable. Then the fiasco the following Thursday happens and all hell breaks loose around the league as they try to overcorrect it while continuing to deny that Tua was concussed already. Then the third concussion happens and he goes back into the game for the second half. I don't know, man. The Tua situation has some real bad optics, for sure.

So the goal is to advance to the Super Bowl and then win the Super Bowl.
Winning a round one game and advancing to round 2 through a bye net the same thing.
They’re essentially the same thing.
